Which Universal Resort?

This will be our first time staying on site at UO and I am not sure which hotel to choose. The cast will be me, DH, DS7, DS6 and DS2. Which would be our best bet. Money not really a consideration. Someone on another post suggested Royal Pacific, but my boys would probably like a water slide.

Any suggestions?

I was also thinking RPR, the kids area is terrific for kids your age! You can also pool hop to the others one day for a slide. Easy walk to the parks as well. You may also want to consider Portofino, with the kids being young right now the theme matters more to you. My kids have been going since 3years old, they love Portofino. Lots of food options and 3 pools. The grounds are sprawling and the rooms and beds are really nice. Not a quick walk for your clan to walk however, the boat is a nice quick ride to the parks.

Portofino is more $. Where do you usually stay at Disney? If you choose any of the three I feel you would be happy! We like em all and switch back and forth. Portofino is my favorite of all though. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Cool, I didn't know that you could pool hop. Not taboo, like over at the House of Mouse. We always stay at Deluxe resorts at Disney b/c we like the proximity to the parks and the extra space. Having three little boys makes things crowded .

So, JessicaR, you vote for RP or PB. Interesting. I will have to take a look at PB. I certainly don't mind taking a boat over. What time does the boat start running?

Ahh there ya go you said "extra space"! Thats MY favorite saying So...Try a Deluxe at Portofino or a Kids Suite at HRH...either or is great and you will feel comfortable. I do not like the kids suites at Portofino at all. RPR will be too small and the E King Suite isnt big enough either!

Boats start up early like an hour before park opens. They also run very late also. They also offer bus/shuttle service to the parks from the hotels.
