We like to do a sit down dinner each night while at WDW. We can only have four dinners at Epcot, which of the following should we cross off our list? We will be dining with my parents and 2 year old son who is a fairly adverturous eater.

Le Cellier
Biergarten
Chefs de France
Teppenyaki
Rose and Crown
Akershus

We want to try something new and these are the restaurants we have not tried in the past. We haven't been to the Italian place either but I have heard it is extremely overpriced for poor quality pasta that you could get cheaper at home.

Hmm, tough...

I would say definitely Akershus unless you're from Minnesota or that area where there is a lot of food like that. Same thing with Teppanyaki, if you have a Benihana-type restaurant in your area, skip that one, otherwise, give it a shot. Try Rose & Crown if you'd like to try to eat and see Illuminations from the patio (not guaranteed of course). I personally enjoyed Le Cellier, I loved the cheddar cheese soup and pretzel breadsticks, the filet was very good, not excellent.

Enjoy your trip and your choices!

We just returned and ate at Chefs and Teppanyaki. Both were wonderful. I would keep both on the list. If you can, go to Boma. I believe it is the best meal on property.

We've tried LeCellier twice and both times thought it was horrible. After the first time we figured we just hit it at a bad time. Second time was still bad. Food wasn't all that tasty, service was slow and the place was loud and dirty. We love Japan and Rose & Crown!

My vote, for drop-offs, would be: Teppenyaki and Akershus. And, yes, I am from Minnesota so the last thing I want to do is eat Norwegian food when at WDW! (Ya betcha!).

I'd drop Akershus and Chef's de France.

TeenaS...we've been to LeCellier twice and haven't like it either time either. I was beginning to think that I was the only one. LOL

If it were me I would drop Akerhus and Biergarten. But, that's primarily due to my culinary tastes - everyone is different.

DO NOT drop Le Cellier.

I agree with Pam, IMHO Le Cellier's is wonderful. Everybody has their own tastes, but I think it's worth it to go just for the cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread sticks...

My two drops would be Akershus and Chefs de France. The drop of Akershus is just a personal preference not a fan of that type of food. Chefs de France has small portions and you may find yourself hungry again later after dropping over $100 on a meal. Not the greatest feeling.

I don't know if these answers are helping you or getting you more confused! And my answer may just confuse you more....I definetly would NOT drop Biergarten or LeCellier.

Have you looked at the menus for these places? If not check out wdwig.com that may really help you with deciding.

You're going to get a TON and a half of answers here, everyone has different tastes and opinions on food.:)

I personally would drop Akershus, simply because we didn't care much for what was offered. And we're very adventureous eaters.

I would also loose Rose and Crown, simply because we had a very wet meal there. It was pouring rain the night we went and in 1999 their roof leaked so bad everyone was getting soaked. It's funny now, but it wasn't then. The service was nice, he was trying to keep his section in good spirits, even though everyone was getting really ticked off. The food itself wasn't bad, but wasn't the best I've had at Epcot either.

I have never eaten at LeCellier, but I've mainly heard great things about them, so we're planning on forming our own opinion in Oct.

Good luck with your choices!! And have a wonderful trip!

Pammy

Definitely drop Akershus! I would probably drop Rose & Crown. Le Cellier is always a must with our family. Biergarten is a lot of fun and entertainment for our DD's and Chefs de France is too yummy to pass up.

I would definitely not drop Akershus from a quality or value point of view. The value is great and the quality is good (great for Disney). The proviso is of course you must enjoy Herring and other Norwegian foods. If you are at all a picky eater, run, don't walk away from Akershus.

My 2 cents says drop Akershuh and Chef de France. I had a great time at Le Cellier.

I would drop Le Cellier - we didn't see it as anything special, bloody steak plopped on my mash potatoes and Biergarten.

I liked Akerhus, thought it was different. However DH shudders every time we walk by there! Going on solo trip in October, may just go back by myself.

You are right about Italy, it stinks.

Teppenyaki and Le Cellier

Please don't drop biergarten. It is a must do IMHO

I would drop Akersaus--- unless you like true Norweigan food (cold fish), it may not be a hit. My other choice to drop would be Le Chefs de France... have heard it is very hit or miss.

Although I am not fond of German food, I think there would be enough there for me to eat, and the entertainment is well worth it!

BTW, the one I would most definitely NOT drop would be Le Cellier. The food is fantastic, and the service was great! Ask if Elaine is still serving there. She was a lot of fun!!!
