Which two days would you choose?

I am unexpectedly visiting Disneyland and California Adventure for two days on either April 15-16 (Saturday and Sunday) or 16-17 (Sunday to Monday). This is less than two weeks away.

I will be solo with park hopper passes but need to make a decision now so I can rearrange my other travel plans.

I am wondering which two days would be better, or if it will make a difference at all in terms of crowds, events, or anything else.

Sunday-Monday would be when I'd go. Normally those days have less people.

Monday the Matterhorn is closed so I'd go to Disneyland first

Mondays can be weirdly busy but according to the single day prices, it's better to go on Sunday ($159) and Monday ($129). I think most Spring Breaks are finally over by then. You might get some of that still on Saturday if you went. Just get there at rope drop and you'll be fine.

Usually I recommend going on a weekend when MKeys are blocked, but in this case I would say the 16 & 17 because the 17 is still showing availability on the Mkey calendar. It is also the first day after our (local) spring break ends so may have lower crowds. Have fun regardless of what you decide!

I would do the weekend simply because I like the Fantasmic and fireworks and those don't happen on Mondays.

Excellent point. I think many people assume every night has fireworks, etc.

That is possible, I am always paranoid that the Sunday will get wind and cancel my only shot at fireworks tho.

Thank you all for your input! Weighing all of the comments, plus some non-Disney-related factors, I decided that Sunday-Monday was the best option for me. Although I grew up going to WDW since the mid 80’s, I’ve been lucky enough these past few years to make multiple shorter visits to Disneyland, so I’ve experienced most of what it has to offer that I enjoy. In that sense, this might be my first trip there where I’m not overly concerned about “missing out” on anything. I’ll be staying within walking distance, I’m young and healthy, so I move quickly when I want to, and I plan to mostly take it easy and make my to-do list more of a guideline than a plan, even with the rides/attractions I’ll be primarily focused on experiencing.
