Which TS or CS place in each park won't you eat at again and why?

For those folks who don't like LTT at dinner, give it a try at lunch. It's very good.

I couldn't agree with you more!! :goodvibes

We think the food for LTT at dinner is awful and the atmosphere is nothing new to us (living next door to Colonial Williamsburg). We had planned a lunch last trip but none of us were very enthused at going there. It was one of the best meals I've ever had at WDW! Our server was awesome (found out we were addicted to sweet tea and as a joke gave us a bunch of to go cups filled with sweet tea) and the food was great (Best dessert EVER is the Butter griddled pound cake!). We loved it so much for lunch it's becoming a must do for lunch every trip! :thumbsup2

Ok, all of this is :offtopic: . I apologize. :teeth:

2005- worst meal was the Chrystal Palace lunch buffet :sad2:
2006- the food wasn't bad, but the cost was, Casey's Hot Dogs :scared1:

I know SCI-fi at MGM is a big favorite here, but I will never ever go there again. Didn't like the food and didn't like the atmosphere. We were sitted at a car and it was most unconfortable. And so dark!

Anyone try the Maya Grill??? We are going down next month and thought we would give it a try. Is the food good????

We were there on june 30th and the food was just ok, but our server was terrible. We'd heard so many good things about this place but were not pleased with the way the service went. I might go back someday, maybe if I was on the DDP so it wouldn't be such a blow if the experience turned out poorly again.

San Angel in Epcot seems to be getting worse by the year, the first time it was just ok, now it is just bad with terrible service. It took us a little over 2 hours for lunch there because our server was never around. I do eat lots of authentic Mexican food here at 2 local restaurants and love it, but San Angel is not even in the same league. Plus I swear it gets darker & darker with each visit. My DH reads lips (he's hearing impaired) and this time we had to remove the shade from the table lamp and we still could barely see each other or the kids menu and this was at lunch time.

MGM- ABC Comissary -terrible burgers, worst we have ever had at Disney or
anywhere else
Backlot Express-only a slight step above ABC (for some reason we have
never had good CS in MGM)

MK-Tony's-food was really bad (even DH could not eat it) service was pretty
pretty bad too. This was in 2003, and to this day when we walk by
Tony's we both cringe.

Epcot-we may try Alfredo's again, but my memory of lunch in 2003 is VERY
close tables, indifferent service, okay food :confused3

I agree about the close tables at San Angel too. Our waiter could not even really get to the table next to us. He had to hand everything to the one person on the end of the table and have them pass it out. It was hard to move without hitting other tables, chairs-even for the waiter. We did like our food though, and the atmosphere is lovely.

I can't think of a lot of places we've sworn off forever, except one- Alfredo's! I had never been so disappointed over a restaurant. It maybe was because I had too high of expectations going in, but the service was HORRIBLE, bad seating, and the food was *okay*, nothing inedible but SO not worth it for the money! We both disliked the bread and our desserts were probably the worst we'd had at a table service in Disney. (Certainly not worth the 1/2 hour wait to get the stupid things!) DH said his lasagne was ok, but I did not like my alfredo. I figure I eat alfredo EVERYWHERE and always like it. Not this stuff. If I wanted noodles with just melted cheese on them I could've done that at home!

This was the special meal for DH and I while DD had a sitter, so I'm slightly bitter about the experience still!

Mama Melrose's in MGM was gross and Crystal Palace for dinner in MK was horrible too. We won't return again to either one.

That's what I love about the DIS boards, lol! Mama Melroses is one of our faves & we do it every trip. The servers can be hot or cold (so to speak) but the chefs there are great & cater to my food allergies like no other restarurant on WDW property, IMO.

I can only think of two we would not go back to:
1) Toy Story Pizza... it may have just been too crowded, but the lines were SO long and the place was so dirty and it was just miserable. The food was ok though.

2) Rainforest Cafe (we went to the one at DTD) cold food and overpriced for what it was.

One does not go for the food. One goes for the experience of being "Mothered". You have to get into it. Play along. Put your elbows on the table and maybe curse a little in Mother Waitress's presence and see what happens. That is why one eats at the Prime Time.

We go for the fried chicken. I think it's the only place on WDW property you can order it. Ask to sit in Mark's section. He won't mother you but he is hilarious.

EPCOT: Akerhaus - I'll eat anything but liver and salmon patties and I couldn't find anything I liked there. Dh didn't like it either but does say the waitress are beautiful (they really are)
EPCOT: Alfredo's. The food was ok but very expensive. Even without alcohol, our meal was 25.00 more than Cal Grill. The table next to ours asked for butter with their bread and the waiter plopped down a plate with at least a lb of butter on it in a big, glob. Don't ask for butter! Service was not good.

MK: Crystal Palace - Seriously, I've had better food in the hospital.

MGM: Hollywood & Vine - JoJo's there + institutional type food.

AK: Pizzafari - It's not terrible, there are just better choices

We don't do much CS so I might be adding to this list in September. The only place on property that I won't eat again is dinner at Cape May Buffet. I love seafood but that just wasn't good at all. Terrible service, long wait to get seated despite having earliest ADRs. Awful.

At the bottom of my list: LTT dinner, Planet Hollywood and H&V dinner. I've eaten twice at all of these places and didn't enjoy it much so they won't be a priority in the future.

Well, I think that is why everybody is different. We had a horrible experience there. I have had great experiences at other restaurants with food allergies being catered to. The food was just horrible the night we ate there. Maybe it was an off night, but for us it isn't one we will return to. Sorry you didn't like my opinion.
:crazy2:

Akershus in Norway. We paced back and forth around that food bar trying to find something we could be brave enough to sample. If I remember correctly, we just nibbled on some bread rolls until dessert came. Skip Akershus and just stop in next door for a rice cream!

There are three restuarants I would never eat at again:

The Food Court at Coronado Springs: I hate paying a service charge to be seated. The food looks fantastic, but is bland, bland, and more bland.

ABC Commissary: I do not think they use ground beef for their hamburgers. I am not sure what meat is used in the burgers but they put the N in NASTY.

Hollywood and Vine: Food was not very good. I will never, ever return---not even for the Fantasmic priority seating deal. :stir:

sorry for not having names

MGM area near Tower of Tower with different windows, outside. We ordered 4 different meals and none of them were good. THe worst pizza and the worst chicken tenders we had the entire trip. THe burger was just plain gross i was starving and when i didnt like it i tried putting a bunch on it to mask the taste but it didnt help. Deserts were stale. Drinks were bad. Just desgusting. Disney must have been mad it was our last day.

The place I got the mcdonalds food at at animal kingdom. Stressful ordering.

Hubbie had a burger somewhere at epcot that he says he will never eat at again.

Coral Reef and Le Cellier. We just didnt like them.

Cinderellas Castle. Food not good enough for the price. Photo thing is a rip off.

Jikos horrible wait horrible service, even though the restaurant was half empty by the time we were seated and although we ate quickly we were the last one in the restaurant.

Epcot - CS at Morocco: Bland and dry food, and impatient CM swiped my Disney Rewards Card 3 times, charging each time (after several phone calls, card was re-credited by the next evening).

I'm not sure which restaurant it was, either Hollywood and Vine or ABC Commisary. It was a character meal that is discontinued now, offered back in 1998. Whichever restaurant it was, the food was horrendous and the restaurant was SOOOO loud because of a lot of chrome and tile, even though it was only about 1/4 full. Because of that one, and my aversion to . . .

Sci Fi Diner, I'm just turned off to dining at MGM period! (Hopefully this will change this year with Dine with an Imagineer.) I've always been very dissapointed by the food and service at Sci Fi, but keep getting dragged back there by the rest of the family. *sighs*

Restaurantasaurus, lousy food, horrible seating (too much in too small a space, i couldn't even get to my table for 10 minutes).

Electric Umbrella. I know it's CS and I should not expect miracles, but the food had been under lamps for so long it was like eating cardboard.

The Pirate and the Parrot (El Pirataratomato and El Perro/Gatto/Whatever). I couldn't even tell you how the food was, because the conditions were so disgusting when I was there I wouldn't order. The counters where you picked up the food were FILTHY with spilled condiments and drinks and there were flies and bees everywhere. it wouldn't be that big of a deal because hey, people do spill food, but the servers were just dropping all the freshly ordered food in other people's mess without cleaning up. There were a lot of complaints.

other than those, and those are spread out over several trips, i love everywhere else I've eaten at the parks!

MK -- LTT for dinner - ditto all of the other server and yucky food comments. Also, gotta be the smallest ladies room in the world - took longer to get out of there than to eat dinner!

MGM -- ABC Commissary, Toy Story Pizza, Hollywood & Vine. 2nd place finish for the ribs at Sci-Fi (I hated my ribs, DH & DD loved what they had which was not ribs)

AK -- Breakfastosaurus has gone waaay downhill - ditto the cold food comments

Epcot -- Biergarten (but that's me & DD, not DH - he loved it); American pavilion (how can Americans destroy a simple hamburger?)
