We are going to celebrate our 5th anniversary three weeks after the fact at the Grand Floridian. Our package includes transfers with Mears, but I really want this trip to be special. I have read a lot about the towncar services and my agent said she could drop the Mears from our package. She said AAA (Hartford) recommends Star Taxi, but I had never heard of that one.

Please help me decide which company to use! Thanks.

First of all, congratulations to you.

You probably won't hear much about Star Taxi on these threads.
More likely you will read more about FL Tours, Cartier, Tiffany and a few others.

I suggest you read some of the threads on the DIS boards where towncar services are discussed. You will heard both positive and negative input about each of them.

We've used TiffanyTowncar 3 times now. Every time it has been perfect. Drivers met us at the baggage pickup area, put our bags in the car and then right to our resort. Ahhhhh. Then they have been on-time and even early for pick-up back to the airport. We've never had a bad driver, although some have. Don was our favorite driver but he is no longer with them.

I agree with WDWisTheBest. This question comes up A LOT so there are many threads discussing individual companies. You'll hear good and bad about them all. We used Cartier and have nothing but good to say about them. Their quotes were the lowest we received plus they had clean limos, and great service from reservations through the actual transfers. Good luck!

but CARTIER is our favorite. Kalim is very professional and charming. He has always been on time if not early. We have used Cartier 4 times now - most recently in December. We are already booked to use them in April. I cannot say enough good things about there service.

Lots of companies are mentioned here, but I don't recall seeing anything about Star. We use Happy Limo a lot and have always gotten great service. Before we knew about towncars, we used to use Mears. I am so glad you switched! You are definitely making the right choice. You will be spoiled by having your own private vehicle vs. being packing into a shuttle with multiple stops.

Thanks for your quick, helpful responses. I know that I will use a towncar service now without a doubt!

I know my DH will be surprised and pleased....he can be a little Grumpy when we are in transit, so pampering him couldn't hurt!!

We have always preferred to use FL Tours for our transportation. Andy is a wonderful guy who will see to it you are taken care of.

FL Tours is the official transportation company of the DIS and by using them we are supporting these boards. I know that I would be lost when it comes to my Disney planning without these boards.

Go to www.fltours.com/reservations.htm and fill out a request, you will see pricing before you ever have to submit the request for a reservation

Hey another newenglanderescaping these -40 temps!!!
we're using FL Tours. haven't used them on any previous trips, but they have more good stories thah anyone else that i've read on here. plus i try to support the DIS whenever possible. Don't forget to request the grocery stop when making yourreservation if you want one, and to print out the $5 coupon.

On the flip-side of your trip, if you need a place to leave your leave your car at bradley (unless you're flying from NYC or Boston), we have used Executive Valet (www.executivevalet.com) A TON. They are wonderful, and I have never heard a bad thing ever about them.

FL Tours a few weeks ago was great. They did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. No complaints. We got in very late in the evening after the main grocery stop was closed, and the driver took us to an out of the way alternate. Good service
