We are headed back to Disney in 2018 and haven't done any tours yet. Any recommendations of which ones are worth it? Cost isn't a factor.

I have taken 12 different tours, several multiple times. I have not taken any that were not fully worth the money and time spent. All have been excellent. I always suggest to first time tour takers that they take a tour in the park that they enjoy the most. And if you do take a tour, don't forget the discounts, even if money is of no concern...AP, DVC and Disney Visa, all 15%.

as long as the topic interests everyone in the group going, you won't be disappointed. consider leaving the cranky back in the room if only part of the group wants to attend.

I will say 1 thing, the backstage ones might remove some of the magic for how things operate or are built. There are some people that don't want to see the wizard behind the curtain pulling on levers and serious consider that before doing anything backstage. Really consider that before jumping on one like backstage magic or keys to the kingdom. nothing that'll kill you but some people want the magic to be magic when they are there.

Keys to the Kingdom (in Magic Kingdom) and Destinations Discovered (in World Showcase at Epcot) are two standouts in my experience. Have fun choosing.

I've done Wild Africa Trek twice and loved it both times, Marceline to the Magic once and loved that.

Behind the Seeds which was kinda cool - don't know that I'd want to do that again though.

Behind The Seeds is a lot of fun. It's cheap, it's not super long, you don't have to book ahead of time, and it doesn't really ruin any magic. I don't have any real interest in agriculture and I enjoyed it.

You get mixed reviews on everything at Disney- except tours! I do not think I have ever seen a bad review. WE will be doing our first tour in May. Doing Wild Africa Trek and thinking of doing Keys to the Kingdom, too.

The steam engine tour was by far one of my favorite experiences....and I'm only 'meh' about trains in general. (My dad is the train lover and it was a gift for him.) We took the tour about 3 or 4 years ago and still talk about it on a regular basis.

Is Keys to the Kingdom the one that goes underneath the MK park? If so we did that one and really enjoyed it!

Keys to the Kingdom does as well as Backstage Magic. I think there is third one also that does that now.

I'm interested in the Marceline to Magic one for this april!
It was awesome! I did this tour in December, in the rain, and it was still the highlight of the trip. Lots of information about Walt and his background and how that played into the making of Disneyland and Disney World. I feel like I could take the tour again and still not be bored. It was the first tour I have ever done at Disney, and now I can't wait to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour my next trip. And if you are a Passholder or Disney Visa cardholder there is a 15% discount!

Marceline

I really liked this Tour. It was just enough time-wise( not too long) , I loved the behind the scenes parts, our guide was great!!

I've done the STEAM TRAIN tour too with my dad, very interesting if you're into that kind of thing. Again, the behind the scenes is impressive.

Backstage magic is also in MK? I know we arent doing Keys to the Kingdom until hubby and I can take a trip alone! This April we will still have our 16 year old with us and figured Marceline to Magic was a perfect one to try

We did the Keys to the Kingdom and Marceline tours. We loved both! The Marceline tour took us behind the scenes at Haunted Mansion. We were right behind the dining room scene while the ride was going. It was so neat!

If you are curious about the Animal Kingdom the Backstage Tales tour might be of interest. We took the precursor to this new tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though they didn't promise animal interaction we got to pet a rhinoceros.

We did our first tour on our most recent trip and it was the Behind the Seeds tour in Epcot (we figured that we would start small :) ). We booked two days before and had no issues getting into the date/time of our choice. It was the perfect intro for us into WDW tours! My goal is to do Keys to the Kingdom on our next trip!
