Which tours are worth it?

I did Behind the Seeds in 2013, and really enjoyed it. For the price it can't be beat.

Also that year did Dolphins in Depth...LOVED IT! Great tour of the Seas at Epcot and interaction with the dolphins.

Contemplated doing the Marceline tour this year, but I don't think I'll have time. But once again, for the cost, it looked like a very good bang for your buck. Also, as a PP mentioned, time wise seemed to be about right.

I'm interested to see more reviews of the Star Wars Experience tours at DHS. Seems like it's gotten OK reviews.

For those that have done both Marceline and Keys -

I want to do a behind the scenes tour this summer, which would you recommend?
Marceline is less expensive, is the $40 more for Keys worth it? How much more do you get to see?

did keys to the kingdom on my very first trip back in 09. it was great and i would highly recommend it!

we saw a headless goofy backstage. haha :rotfl2:

I have done the Backstage Magic tour and the Senses AK tour. Both were worth every penny, loved both!

Keys to the kingdom was fantastic and I highly recommend it. I took my father-n-law as a gift and it was a day we will never forget. SIDENOTE being backstage and seeing some of the characters "out of character" did throw me off a little bit but the overall experience and information was great

We really enjoyed KTTK and last August did the UnDiscovered Futureworld tour in Epcot, and that was fabulous! It was SO much better than we thought it would be!'we'll probably do Marceline in March or May.

Just got back from doing the KTTK tour and really enjoyed it. It is a lot of standing! Walking was fine....standing was tiring! Also did Behind the seeds and enjoyed that too. We've done the Segway tour around World Showcase but I'm not sure if they still offer that. Also very enjoyable.

How much behind the scenes stuff was there in UnDiscovered Futureworld tour? Did you get to go on any rides?

We rode SE and TT, and there a lot of behind the scenes stuff! Nothing that would "ruin the magic" except in the costuming area where there is the possibility of seeing costumes being sewn/repaired and also of seeing friends of the Princesses doing their hair and makeup, but I also didn't think the KTTK tour ruined anything. It gave wonderful detail and great background into each pavilion, how it came to be and why each was shaped/colored the way it is. Lots of history, too. Seriously loved it much more than we thought we would :)

Another vote for KttK. It was awesome. Did Wild Africa Trek in December and it was excellent as well.

Thanks! I have done KTTK and loved it and am looking to do another tour. The description of the UnDiscovered Future World sounded like a lot of standing around so the other stuff sounds great.

We've done both and loved them both. KTTK is much longer and more comprehensive, MTMK comes in a little under three hours and is more focused on fewer attractions, and there's no utilidor tour. Because HM is our favorite WDW attraction, and COP is right up there with it, we'd probably do MTMK again because it was so cool. :earsboy:

We loved Keys to the Kingdom last November. We also did Behind the Seeds. My DH is now in the process for trying to do some hydroponics, so be careful of that one ;)

We did the VIP tour last year to maximize the rides. Definitely would do again.

This year we're doing the animal trek at AK.

My DSO really wants to do that one. Glad it's a good one.
We've done behind the seeds twice. Interesting note, depending on your guide and their job/interests, you can get totally different experiences. Definitely not canned speeches at all. It is very warm & humid in the greenhouses, so be prepared.

With KKTK, is the lunch able to accommodate Gluten-Free or other food needs? Would you let them know in advance?

I did a study away program through my university a few years ago and we did the Backstage Magic, Behind the Seeds, Epcot's Aqua Tour, and the Backstage Tales tour. Every single one was incredible!! The two in Epcot did a great job highlighting the science and research that is being done at Disney, which was really interesting to learn about!
I was worried about Backstage Magic taking away some of the magical feeling for me, but seeing the amount of work that goes into every detail actually made Disney seem even more magical!
