I'm not feeling too well today -- getting to be that TOM and I'm one of those who is down in the dumps physically and emotionally a couple of days early and into it.

So -- do I ask for more motivation to make it through these dumps, or just take a break for a few days until the dumps/blahs pass and then pick up again?

I suggest sticking with it as much as you can, and asking for more motivation! I believe that SOME activity is better than nothing, and at least if you give it a try you won't feel so guilty about it! You can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!:Pinkbounc

My TOM has been a problem since high school! I'm even on the pill (even tho dh is fixed) to help control it. But, now that I'm exercising and losing weight I'm hoping it will get better. I really want to get off the pill...maybe i'd lose weight faster w/out it!

Anyway, this last month was awful and I felt really lousy. I didn't exercise through it as much as I should have and I regret that. Next month, I'm going to try to keep my same workout routine and push through the yuckiness.

I'm so glad to have this board of friends and motivators!

I say.......come to us for support and motivation. Don't let the blah's make you take a break. In a few day's when the sun is shining again, you'll be glad that you stuck with it.

Just take it one day, one part of the day at a time. Work on getting through the evening. Then concentrate on the morning, then the afternoon, etc.

You can do it. I know that this feeling is not fun, and taking a break would be so soothing........but you will feel SO good in a few days.

((hugs)),

Question: would it "count" on those days I have the blahs (or especially cramps) to do some... hrm, I'll call them micro-stretches. Stay sitting down, but alternate stretching one leg out and flexing then pointing then flexing then pointing the foot for a minute, then do the other foot, then stretch the arms out to either side and rotate small and big circles, then move like arms-only jumping jacks -- side, then overhead, then side, then overhead, and stretch the back by arching it back and looking overhead, then curving it forward like a cat and tucking the chin under. Would that count? All of that I could probably do even with the cramps, but wouldn't make them worse. Or is that me trying to find an excuse to not do anything. LOL!
