Knowing both fill up quickly, which should I book first: Mixology or a cabana on the adult beach at CC?

Unless you’re concierge, the chances of getting a cabana when your window opens is quite low. They do come available from time to time when others cancel, so keep checking- you might get lucky!

While this is true of family beach cabanas, the odds of getting one on the adult side are not as bad. We were at CC twice last February (on a B2B) and only one cabana was occupied on the first stop. None were on the second. Of course, this was on Magic so there are less guests onboard, and maybe they were all released in the days before the cruises, but they were still empty.

I would still try to book that before Mixology in any case.

I’m booked on a Double Dip (at least for now). Lots of staterooms available, including 12 concierge rooms. No cabanas were available when the platinum window opened. I agree that SB is easier than FB, but I wonder if DCL holds back cabanas. If ever there was a sailing that I thought would have availability at 120 days, it was this one. But, nope. That being said, checking for a cabana before mixology makes the most sense.

Always a Cabana. They save spots for mixology once people embark the ship. They don't save cabanas.

AFAIK, the only cabanas that are held back are the accessible ones.

Not entirely true. They used to keep one cabana for onboard booking by Concierge guest (16 I believe). We were told that they added a second one after the hurricane.
