Which time for the Safari?

We went one year in November and went both first in the morning and at dusk. This past March we went at 2 since that was the time that worked best for our day. They may not be as much as a difference between 11 and 6 pm if you are going in summer due to higher temps and longer days...but if you are going in fall 6-7 is getting close to that dusk time (and I think its fun to go around sunset, it’s pretty being on the savanna)

And also agree about sunset. Being there at sunset gives it a different “feel”.

Safari is THE iconic ride at AKL. IMHO, it's what makes AK more than just another amusement park.

Since it's all about the animals, it's a different trip each time. Sometimes you'll see a lot of activity; sometimes the animals will be sleeping; sometimes the animals will be 'hiding.' But every trip is pretty much guaranteed to see something cool.

If I were you, I'd really try to do it twice, if you can. The 11am FP gives you the option of getting more FP, and possibly snagging another FP for Safari later in the day.
