Which Stunt Show?

If you were picking between stunt shows, would you choose Sinbad or Poseidans Fury? We have kids between 4 and 8. The 4 year old was a little afraid of the Pirates in PotC at Disney. But not majorly. He tends to find villains a little scary. We might end up hitting both ... or not. Just want to know which to prioritize. Thanks.

i like sinbad
don't think it will be around all that long though from what i have read on other sites.

i hit that show each year.

sit in the middle section by the platform in the middle for a good view of the action that will be presented there.
be at eye level for the row

Posiedan Fury is fine but might be a tad dark inside for your child.

you stand throughout this show.
you move from one room to another for different segments of the show.

Both shows are very different. Sinbad is more like what you would traditionally expect from a show. Poseidon is more like a walk through attraction than it is a show (although you do stop in various spots to get the story and see some effects). For your younger kids, I'd go with Sinbad. Poseidon could be totally scary because of the loud noises, flames and other effects. Sinbad has some scary type villains, but it is done in a "comic book" style that shouldn't scare kids that badly.

Yeah, Poseidon isn't really a "stunt" show as it is an "effects" show. No actors really, beyond your "tour guide". And just water and fire with projected images on regular screens.

Cool. Thanks for the info everyone. I think we'll plan for Sinbad and see how that goes. If the kiddos really like the effects than maybe we'll do Poseidon too.

As others have said Poseidon's Fury isn't really a stunt show. Personally, I love Poseidon and can't stand Sinbad as I find it boring. However, if your 4 year old gets scared on POC, I would not suggest Poseidon.

Poseidon is a walking tour that goes horribly wrong in an overly dramatic comical way. You are told you are there for an archialogical tour, but then you become trapped in the dark with no way out and an evil bad guy after you. The guide panics and proclaims you are all going to die. I've seen plenty of small kids in tears at this point. After that it gets better as eventually you are saved and do escape. Nothing jumps out at you or anything, but it does go completely pitch black a few times. Since it is more of an interactive show where the audience is a part of the show in that the guide interacts with them as a part of the story, it can be hard for some kids to understand that it is all pretend. Whereas a stage show is easier for them to differentiate between make believe and reality. If your 4 year old can understand it is all pretend and acting, it will be great fun. If he thinks it is real, it could be terrifying.

When Poseidon gets replaced by another attraction, I really hope they find a way to put the water vortex somewhere in the park. I love that effect.

That is the only thing I liked in Poseidon's Fury......the vortex is impressive........

OP.......I would go with Sinbad, it's quite fun and kids seem to love it........Poseidon bored us to tears.......

Sinbad I would have to say if you want to please your children. As I think it would be far more entertaining than Poseidon due to the fact that it is not only a stunt show, but does have a little bit of special effects and trickery on the stage. I'm sure it would also be nice to sit down and enjoy a show rather than be standing the whole time which is what you'd do for Poseidon.

Also, it's lighter like others have said. Poseidon isn't really that "dark", but is darker in terms in theming, especially compared to Sinbad and could be a little more intimidating, especially for smaller children. With what you've described as your 4-year-old being scared of, Poseidon might be too much. As the attraction is quite dark (in terms of lighting) for a lot of portions (like POTC) and the main focus is a villain who is threatening not just one character, but everyone in the walk-through attraction.

The best seats for Sinbad are the row past the wet zone and in the middle section

If you sit near the wood platform , you will see up close action when the show does a segment there

They actors do a meet/great after the show inside the structure
Take your cameras

I always tell the "bad" I was rooting for them
