We own at SSR but would like to try the other resorts (we'll most likely add-on in a couple of years). We'd look at a studio for the four of us for a short trip. Which ones do you like and why? I saw there are different views listed for BWV - what's the difference? Do all studios have balconys? Sleeper-sofa's?
There's quite a range in points between the resorts, 74@OKW to 98@VB for the same time of year. Are certain studios more difficult to book at the 7month window? We'd be going in February . . .

TIA :sunny:

The studios at OKW are larger and have 2 beds. The studios at the other WDW resorts are smaller and have 1 bed and a sleeper sofa.

So far, we have been happiest with the dedicated studios. We've had them at BWV, VWL, and BCV. They seemed just a bit quieter. We have never requested it or asked for one at checkin.

We prefer the studios with the sofa to sit on and the Q bed. DH even wants to try a studio at VB instead of an inn room because he wants the sofa, so we are trying that in March.

However, our "BEST" villa for just the 2 of us was the 1 bedroom at OKW that we had in June!

Bobbi :)

The bathroom in the OKW studio is bigger than the ones in the others. The sink, toilet and tub/shower are all in the same room. Not the little tiny closet with toilet/tub/shower in it like the others.

The two beds at OKW are both queen sized beds. No double sleeper sofas.

OKW is the only DVC to have 2 queen beds vs a queen bed and sleeper sofa. OKW's studio bathroom is all in one room, all other studio bathrooms are basically the same size but split into 2 areas; sink area & toilet & tub area.
We prefer the studios with a queen and sleeper sofa. The 2 queen bed studios feel too much like a regular hotel room to us. When we stay in a studio it is always 2 people, so 2 queens is not needed, nor wanted. An OKW studio is slightly larger then the other studios but due to the set up of the room, they do not feel larger.
All the sleeper sofa/queen bed studios are basically the same with a different decor and view. We prefer the BWV boardwalk view studio solely for the fantastic views.

When we're going as a group, we prefer Old Key West because the rooms are much bigger and there are two real beds to sleep in. When it's just DH and I, we prefer VWL or BWV -- nice atmosphere, and a sofa to sit on in place of extra bed, etc.

more than just me - OKW - 2 queen beds.

just me - sometimes VWL, BCV or BWV....

BCV - try first if I know I will be spending time in Epcot (my favorite)

next would be BWV

I do love VWL - but the MK has been so crowded lately.

We prefer the studios with the bed/sleeper sofa combo. Therefore, we have not stayed at OKW yet, although we did tour their units and grounds when we purchased. We will definitely choose OKW for the spacious 1 bdr's and up.

I also prefer the separate toilet and sink area.

VWL studios have lots of storage. Moreso than the other studios we have stayed in.

We prefer SSR overall, because they have the newer beds and sofa sleepers. My 2 young Ds's have actually commented how much more they like SSR's sofa sleeper without any prompting from me.
