What stroller option should I choose, for our visit to WDW in April? I have a 2.5 year old and a 4 year old... I will probably be taking them into the parks by myself at least 2 days.

ETA: yes, I actually have all those strollers... and I would have had more... I sold my Mac TT a few months ago, and now I'm regretting it!

I see you're staying at the Dolphin from your siggy...

If you have a double, I would suggest taking your own stroller. Much more comfy for your 2-1/2 yr old, IMO. WDW is a lot of walking too, even for a 4-yr old.

hth.

I too am trying to figure what the best double stroller option is for WDW. From the opions I have read for awhile now and going through your poll here are my answers.

No one really likes the stand and sit one. Eventually the one who needs to stand wants to sit and there you are holding one child while trying to wheel the other.

Maclaren double is hugly popular but big priced. Keep reading other stroller posts there are more out there that get good feedback.

Don't go cheap or rent - the kids won't like them. Uncomfortable the rentals are and the cheap models always seem to break.

Don't go for 2 seperate - hard to get around if you end up alone - need the one double.

Hope that helps alittle!! Good luck! :wizard:

My kids are 7 + years apart so I have only had one in a stroller at a time...

When DD was 3 we took our nice big comfy stroller for her. We hated having to take it on the bus back and forth...so did everyone else on the bus.
When my DS was 2 1/2 we took a cheap little umbrella type stroller. Was much easier to take on and off the bus and get around in, but was still a little of a pain.
Last year DS had just turned 5 and we thought he would be fine. We were wrong! We ended up renting a stroller from WDW. They were big...almost to big, it was kinda pricey...but well worth it to him & us!
This year DS will be 6 and we are planning on renting one again if he needs it. Works out great for us.

I did WDW with a nearly 2.5 yo and 4 yo last May. 2 umbrella strollers were far easier to maneuver and caused less worry than our Maclaren double. Additionally, it allowed my group to split up. Our 4 yo was able and wanted to ride far more than our 2.5 yo. Admittedly, I only took the 2 little ones into the park by myself a couple of times and never for extended blocks of time. When I did, I made our 4 yo walk. Of course, he was riding with his younger ds in his lap by the time we exited the park!

Having experienced the parks with pretty much every stroller combination over the years, I have to vote for the umbrella strollers.

Do teh umbrellas have sunshades? If so, I would just go with them.

If you are alone in the parks you can rent a double that day if necessary.
