Which Step in the Process?

We just returned home from vacation. We FedExed our closing docs to Honolulu for our Aulani purchase before we went and wired funds. On tuesday the title company emailed and said everything was in order and said they would send out the recording docs by the end of this week.

Just wondering which step in the process this is? Are these documents that go to DVC? Or something that goes to us? How much longer before we can access our points? Thanks!

It sounds you're in the wait time between deed recording and access to the points, which averages 8-10 days. If you have the closing documents you signed, it will have the name of the previous owner and the deed information. You should be able to call member ADMINISTRATION and ask them if you're in the system yet.

Sounds good! We actually just received the signed closing docs from the title company today via FedEx and it shows we closed on January 11th. I will try calling member administration today and see what's up!

Sounds like you are somewhere between waiting for the deed to be recorded and the points showing up in your account. In florida, that is about a 2 week process. Not sure how long that is in Hawaii. In Florida, we can look on the comptroller site to see when the deed was recorded, I would expect Hawaii would have similar. I would suggest, finding their site and looking to see if your deed is recorded.

When we received the closing docs on the 19th, it included the interval warranty deed and the stamp on that says it was recorded on January 11th. I'm hoping by mid week our points will be available!

UPDATE! Talked to Member Administration today, looks like they received the docs from the title company on January 17th. So still a bit of a wait for me before my points are loaded.
