Which Steakhouse?

I'm looking for a nice steakhouse in WDW for an intimate meal, just me and OH. We'll go anywhere in the world although the closer to a park the better (ideally we'd like to eat, then see some fireworks.) I've looked at Le Cellier, the Concourse Steakhouse and the Yacht Club Galley - price is quite a big factor for us so even Le Cellier is a bit high with Yachtsman out of the question!

Concourse Steakhouse looks the best so far by the menus alone but the reviews I've read say there's lots of noise from Chef Mickey's - not the best for an intimate meal! Plus I've read that Concourse doesn't overlook MK like California Grill does - is that right? If it did I could probably weight that bonus against the noise and be ok with going! Yacht Club Galley looked great but the reviews say people just walk through en route to other places and it can often be very empty/a bit "cold" feeling. Le Cellier is looking the best at the moment.

One last consideration, OH is VERY picky so I need somewhere that will be willing to accomodate by serving the steak with just fries and no sauces/seasonings. I know it sort of defeats the point but we're doing this to have a lovely night somewhere nice (something you can't do at the cheap places outside WDW) and the great food is an extra bonus - we are really paying for the experience of a lovely meal!

So, where should we go??

California Grill has a gorgeous view of the MK and SSL, as well as the Poly and GF. If you can time it, you can see the Wishes fireworks, and it is amazing from the 15th floor, where the restaurant is. There is also a catwalk to venture out on if you're brave and not afraid of heights. :teeth: The menu is a bit pricey, but worth it if you wan to splurge and see the fireworks.

Ive only been to Le Cellier and Yachtsman Steakhouse. While Le Cellier was good...YSH was amazing. It's well worth the extra money, IMO.

With price as a factor, this is a tough one. The best places for a lovely (quiet, intimate) nite are also the most $$$.
If places like Yachtsman are off the list, then either Le Cellier or Concourse are the likely spots. Most spots will let you order a steak plain, and substitute fries off the childrens menu for the potatoe usually served.
PS-if you'll have a car, check out the menu at Maya Grill. It's sort of a steakhouse---

I have had steak at both Concourse and LeCellers and I like Concourse much better. I will be trying Yachtsman next time as I have heard it is very good but a bit more $$$

My DH and I had a late ADR -about 8:30pm - at the Concourse Steakhouse on our last trip and we heard no noise from Chef Mickey's. The food and drinks were awesome and we are both big steak eaters.

While you do not have a view of the MK like you might at CG, we did enjoy watching the monorails go through the resort. Afterwards we went out on the (I think 4th flr???) balcony and watched the castle changing colors.

I would agree with TyRy. On our last trip we had later ressies, 7:30.
There was little or no noise from next door. We had a wonderful filet there and the desserts were very yummy. I think this place is often overlooked.
