Which Steakhouse is the best?

I have been to disney world about 15 times and now that I'm now longer a teenager, I'm less afraid to try new places to eat! So I was wondering what steakhouse is the best? Schula's, Yachtsman, or Le Cellier? Thanks!

If you have the $$$ then Shula's is in a class by itself. It is not really a WDW type of restaurant. It is a quality steak house like you would find in any major city.

I 2nd Shula's. It was fantastic. I can't believe being from Kansas that I was in Florida eating beef. I was going to eat seafood ever day. Anyway, it was probably one of the best pieces of beef I have ever had. My whole family of 8 thought so too.

One piece of advice: If you get the prime rib, pay the $10 for an extra plate and split it with someone. That's way too good to go to waste. . . unless you can eat 32 ounces by yourself. And yes, it's the smallest prime rib cut they've got.

They are all pretty good. Shula's has the best "meat" certainly, tho that Bourbon Steak at YSH is excellent also.

I ate at Shulas last night. The steak was good, although I prefer the tenderloin at Jiko. Shulas is decidedly NOT kid friendly AT ALL, so if that is a concern, think twice about it. They have no childs menu, and offer two hours of free childcare at the Dolphin kids club, and it's very clear that children are simply not welcome there.

The service was almost too slow, over two hours to dine, and the last ten minutes were spent waiting for a check (dessert dishes had been cleared...)

The place is dark--almost as dark as the place in Mexico! They bring a little pocket flashlight to shine on your meat when they first serve it...they ask you to cut into it to make sure it's cooked to your satisfaction.

I've now had filet at Yachtsman, Jiko, CG, Shula's, Le Cellier, and, Concourse, and would say that Jiko is still the overall best. Shula's would probably be second, with Le Cellier at third.

Haven't been to the Yachtsman yet, but Shula's is definitely superior to Le Cellier. Le Cellier is good, but definitely not in Shula's league.

DisneyAng, I don't see where you mentioned you had children, but since the topic was raised...

While Shula's is not a "kid-friendly" restaurant in the WDW sense, children are, in fact, very welcome. Use your judgement. If your child is well-behaved in restaurants, Shula's will be no problem at all. The appetizer, entree and sidedish portions are very large, meaning there is little need for a kid's menu. Also, its far from a quiet atmosphere.

I've only been to LeCellier out of your 3 choices, but I wanted to add that Flying Fish has a wonderful steak as well.

Anyplace that doesn't offer a kids menu and offers free childcare for two hours says, no SCREAMS "We would rather you didn't bring the kids" to me.

It was far from quiet, but a noisy child would definitely have been noticed in the room I was seated in.

Yachtsman is "fairly" kid friendly, I'd try to book early, as service tends to be quicker then...and they can get backed up causing a wait even with a PS as the night progresses. It depends on your kids, what they are used to and what they will tolerate.

I think you've made yourself very clear. I was offering another interpretation, which was validated by the service we received with our then 3 1/2 year old son.

It was far from quiet, but a noisy child would definitely have been noticed in the room I was seated in.

That's where parental judgement comes in.

We have yet to have anything but seafood at FF. But next time,one of us will have to try the steak. Has anyone ever had a bad steak at Flying Fish? Don't remember reading one complaint about the steak served there.
