Category 5 or Category 4?

Anyone know which stateroom is closest to a mini Suite on the Golden Princess (Princess Cruises) or a category D on RCCL? It's hard to tell from the diagrams. (Not sure what the sq. footage was on the Princess or RCCL ships.)

I need something with a veranda, and will sleep 3 and have extra room (5 year old).

Thanks!

Actually go with the Category 6...it is exactly the same as the Cat. 5 only cheaper as it is one deck lower. The Cat. 4s don't have much extra room, they have an extra BED so they can sleep five but that's it. With a party of three a Cat. 6 is perfect.

The Cat. 6 on DCL is 268 sq. ft. (including the verandah) and the mini-suites on Princess are 323 sq. ft (also including the verandah). The Cat. 4s on DCL are 304 sq. ft. but really do not seem much larger than the 5s and 6s.

Hope that helps! :)

I agree with WebmasterMichelle, we had a catogory 6 and loved it! We were in room 6040 and thought the location was great!

I'll throw in another vote for Category 6! I prefer to be as close to the water as possible, and that's the lowest deck on which you can get a verandah. The rooms in cats. 4 through 10 are the same size...only different is a verandah, porthole, or lack of one. My personal favorite stateroom is 5650...it's not for everyone because it has a metal verandah, which some people do not like. But it's all the way aft, so there is virtually no noise from hallyway traffic, and the verandah is a little larger than standard.
