I'll be goin on a 7-day Eastern cruise next year and kinda torn about the location of staterooms. Right now, Disney has me booked in 6572 which is midship. However, a friend of mine is going to be in the handicapped cabin (6654. They told me the closest to 6654 I can get into is 6632 which is 12 rooms from the tail of the ship. I'm torn between staying where I am and changing. I know i wont feel as much movement in the middle, but are there any more perks. Id rather have the best photo ops.
Also how secure is the connecting room door?

Thanks

I've sailed for two weeks in 6630 and loved it enough to rebook for this February. It was quiet and had a convenient location.

We had 7572 and loved it. Not too far from the elevators, not to close to the elevators. I used the aft deck and aft stairs from Topsiders and it didn't seem like I had to walk very far.

We sailed for two weeks in 6632 and it is my favorite stateroom. The location is much quieter due to being aft....you miss alot of the midship hallway traffic. Also, you are very close to the deck 7 secret deck and we used the aft stairways for everything. Lastly, the muster station is in AP, which is MUCH nicer and cooler than the midship locations we have had in the past....deck 4 in the hot sun! My only complaint is on Port Canaveral day (disembarkment day), they are loading right below you with forklifts...lots of metal hitting metal and not very quiet...also the side thrusters woke me on both Canaveral dockings. But, for one morning on a week cruise, it was the least of my worries.

We just back last week and were in 6628. It was our first cruise, so Im not sure what to expect. We thought it was a great location. Close to the elevators, but yet did not hear noise from them. Great verandah and movement was little, I guess I thought I would feel more. I expected a smaller room, and was surprised to see how roomy it was

Have sailed the Magic 4 times and three of them in 6624. (other was 6641 for 2005 eastbound repo) Going again in 10/08 and will be in 6624. It is close to almost everything including the drink station on deck 9, Topsiders and as pointed out above the muster is in AP. If you are on the right side you get to see a lot when in ports (Cozumel, Key West and Castaway Cay)

We sailed in April on the Wonder in 6636 and 6637, and both rooms were great. We liked being near the aft staircases - 3 decks up was the beverage station, 3 decks down to Parrot Cay. We liked our rooms so much we re-booked the same staterooms for next June.

Right now we're booked in 61-something on the Magic for January and we're debating trying to change it to a room nearer our original ones. This one is close to the fore staircases, but that'll make quite a walk to the beverage station! Of course, on a 7-day, we'll probably need the extra exercise!

6632 is my stateroom! Ok, well it was the one on our first trip, I liked it so much that I have requested that one 2 more times and lucky to get it, because the room hadn't been sold yet.
