Which signature restaraunt (excluding VA) is the most formal/adult in atmosphere

I'm just curious now for curiousity sake because I can really get a good feel on this.

Bistro de Paris, upstairs in the French pavilion, is probably the best resteraunt, after V&A, for food and service. Also it does not have a children's menu; it is French fine dining.

However, some unusual items
1. It is Dinner only
2. They only take reservations 30 days out
3. It is not on DDP

Bistro de Paris is a great restaurant and does have a very adult atmosphere. However, it is inside Epcot, so that getting to it is not a terribly adult atmosphere (I would also disagree that it has the best food after V&A).

Among the resort restaurants, I would go with Shula's as having the most adult atmosphere. Others to consider would be Jiko, Citrico's, Il Mulino and Artist Point.

I have also heard good things about Blue Zoo for atmosphere and food.

We went to Jiko last month and that was amazing, very "grown up" and relaxing feel to the place. We had a great table with a view out the windows and at the time (almost 2 hours) there wasnt a child in the place. We had a fantastic time and the food is just incredible

Yeah, we're not that into French food, plus like every couple we know goes there so we wanted to go somewhere different. I've heard great things about Shula's but we're actually not into sports either so... I wondered about the Italian place but I didn't know if it would be out of the way- we're staying at the WL- how long would it take us to ge there? I'm really surprised they don't have an Italy at Epcot or at least one more Italian restaraunt in Disney.

There is an Italy in Epcot with a restaurant there, but I dont think it's a grown-up place.

I've read & heard reviews that Citrico's at the Grand Floridian is great and has a grown-up atmosphere.

There's also Mama Melrose's at DHS and Tony's at MK, besides the Italian place at Epcot.

Very rarely will you find children at Bistro de Paris. One of our favorite Disney dining experiences, the restaurant's atmosphere and menu is very "adult friendly." All of the other signature restaurants are also very good but you can expect children to be present.
BlueZoo and Shula's are also very nice. Don't be afraid to try either place.

We went to Citrico's for our 25th anniversary and we loved it. They had a special menu made for us with our names at the top and a cake. Wonderful atmosphere.

The more "adult friendly" spots seem to be Bistro, Il Mulino, Blue Zoo and Shulas. The last 3 are non Disney spots located in the convention hotels at SWan/Dolphin. Of the Disney restaurants themselves Citrico's is probably the one with the best adult feel. But it too can be over-run with kids on any given night.
Nothing formal or adult about Mama Melrose or the Italian place at Epcot. Expect both to be full of children.

I like Jiko. My favorite restaurant on property. If you're able to go off property you could check out Season's 52 or Roy's.

Bistro de Paris is very good. So is Citricos. And Jiko. Any of those would offer a more "adult" dining experience.

I love Blue Zoo - it's a must do on all my trips

Fabulous 'grown up' atmosphere and excellent food. TBH I've always found it far superior to the 'official' Disney restaurants.

Jiko or Citricos would get my vote. Does it have to be on property? Season's 52 on Sand Lake Road is great as is the Plantation Room at the Celebration Hotel.

Agreed. Then I'd say Jiko, Citricos or Narcoosees, then maybe CaliGrill, Flying Fish, or Yachtsman Steakhouse (though all of these will have some to quite a few kids/a less formal atmosphere). FWIW.

Jiko has occasions where they have unruly kids.

I recommend Shula's if it is anything like the one in Alabama its very quiet, dim lighted with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin playing in the background.
