My husband said that he wanted to try something different and that the money is no object this time. So my question is which side is better and more fun , the Yacht side or the Beach side? Is there a better view from which hotel of Epcot, and how is there food court?

The Beach club is a more "fun" and laid back atmosphere they Yacht club is a bit more formal. they do not have food courts.

It really depends on your personal preference.

The Yacht Club is a bit more formal in atmosphere (like in the lobby for instance) than the Beach Club. They are both family friendly of course, but we noticed more kids at the Beach Club than at the Yacht Club. Hence, it might be a little more likely for the YC to be quieter if you're doing an adults-only trip.

All the rooms at the Yacht Club have full balconies, whereas at the Beach Club some have full balconies and others have little partial balconies.

Neither of the resorts have food courts like you would find at a value or moderate, but the Beach Club does have the Beach Club Marketplace where you can grab a quick bite to eat. For fine dining, you'll want to be at the Yacht Club for the Yachtsman Steakhouse.

I hope that helps a little bit!

I prefer YC, but the two resorts are very similar. There is the issue of the balconies and that the YC seems more formal than the BC, as previous posters have mentioned.

BC is somewhat closer to the IG entrance to Epcot, but YC is closer to the boat dock for the boat to MGM (in both cases, however, it is a matter of a couple hundred yards, at most). The two resorts share buses, but usually pick up at YC first, which can mean that (during busy times) buses will fill up at YC, making it harder for BC guests to get a seat on the bus. The amenities and restaurants at each resort are easily accessible from the other resort, so that is not a big issue.

In the end, you can't really go wrong with either resort.

I agree, both resorts are beautiful. We have stayed at both.. i guess if i HAD to pick one, i would pick yacht club. Because it is a little more "quiet" i think -- or at least it seemed that way for us.. But, they are both great.. We are staying BC suite next year - the big room can't be beat! :) And either way , you have Stormalong Bay and Beaches and Cream... ahhhhhhhhhhh... love it!!!
