This trip we are going to try and see some of the shows/parades we have always skipped before, I figure my DD may like them more than some of the rides maybe. She will turn 1 during the trip. Which do you think would be the best for her?
In AK:
FOLK?
Pocahontas?
Finding Nemo Musical?
Should we take a ride out to Rafiki's Planet Watch?

In MK:
Tiki Room?
Country Bear Jamboree?
dream along with mickey?

MGM:
Beauty and the Beast?
Playhouse Disney?
Little Mermaid?

And which afternoon parade is best?
I have only ever seen FOLK, Tiki Room, and Country Bear Jamboree, and it has been a few years since I have seen any of those attractions, so I really have no idea what these shows are like.
thanks!

The only thing I wouldn't go out of my way to see is Pocahontas. It was pretty boring.

Little Mermaid can be scary to some little ones due to darkness and the mist. Just an FYI.

My girls LOVE both MK and MGM parades but maybe your little one would like MGM's better due to the Playhouse Disney characters in it. Do both if you can.

I bet your little one will love Tiki Room and Country Bear cause my younger DD loved them!

You might want to try the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground in MGM, the Pooh play area in MK (Fantasyland), and the little play area in Toontown as well.

Of course, little ones also love some rides too like Dumbo, Pooh, IASW, the Carousel (sp?), Alladin Carpet ride, Transporation Authority (people mover) in Tomorrowland, and Spaceship Earth ride and the new Nemo ride at Epcot.

Have fun!!

KIM that every kid is different my very sound-sensitive 2 year old loved:
FOLK, Rafiki's Planet Watch for the Affection Section (couldn't get her to leave) and Playhouse Disney. The afternoon parades she was okay with - she loved the Stars & Motorcars parade at MGM.

She hated - was terrified of:
the night time parade and shows.

The others on your list we didn't get to see so I can't comment either way.

As pp mentioned, be aware if your baby is sensitive to sound...some of those shows are LOUD (Tiki Birds) so have a plan for protecting the ears!!

My dd turned 1 on our last trip..she loved Beauty and the beast, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Stars and motorcars pardade, turtle talk with Crush (she actually squealed so loud with excitment he stopped what he was doing and said "wow dude someone speaks dolphin"..lol), she LOVED the Nemo ride.
She liked the AK parade, Festival of the Lion King...
The liked Its a small world, Pooh, Peter Pan...but we went on everything we could and she was happy on everything...

Ariel, that post was so cute. I could imagine Crush doing that with Maddie. She squeals when she gets excited too.:wizard:

We only did MK when dd was 2. She loved all the shows. We saw the country bear and she loved it she was clapping along and everything. She also love Mickey's Philharmagic(sp?) and the tiki room bird show. She also loved Its a Small World too.

I wish I could have taken her to AK to see the Lion King show she was obsessed with Lion King back then.

Mine was terrified of the night time parade when she was a toddler: I think it may be just too much for her. Her favorites were (and still are at 4yrs): Planet Watch (they have a petting zoo) at AK (the Lion King show was too loud and she freaked out), Country Bear Jamboree at MK (Tiki Room was a little intense with thunder and lightening noises when she was little), Playhouse Disney and Beauty and the Beast at MGM (Little Mermaid was too dark and scary for her). She also loved all the playgrounds in each park, so check them out. We never went to any parades after the bad experience with the nightime one, so I can't give you any advice there. We went back to the room for naps and pooltime in the afternoon.

Now at four, she loves all the shows. Good luck!
