Need some expert DL help! I've only been to DL once 10 years ago and it will probably be another 10+ before I return, so I am trying to make the most out of my upcoming September trip with DD. We really have only a bit over 2 full days (arrive Sunday night about 6pm, depart midnight Tuesday). We definitely want to see ALL of the evening entertainment/parades, including PTN, WOC, and fireworks (currently Disneyland Forever, but with the 60th celebration scheduled to end shortly before our arrival, I consider that "subject to change"). We arrive the evening of 9/11 and depart late night 9/13.... so just three precious nights to see all three evening events.

In the effort of a full disclosure, this is an extreme budget trip. It is an "add-on" to a professional conference that we gifted to DD for Christmas last year. So packages really aren't ideal.... but the one thing that I have less of than money is TIME, so I am willing to sacrifice one for the other.

Strongly considering buying tickets the WOC dessert party for DD's birthday. She will have turned 21 just before our trip, so this would be fun! But it would also be an EXTREME splurge. We've "been-there-done-that" in terms of sitting on the pavement saving a good spot for shows and it is uncomfortable and takes up a good deal of precious park time, so this may be a case where it is money well spent. Plus if it is a gift, I don't feel so bad. AND my birthday is coming up.... so I could ask for that for my birthday gift!

Also looking into the PTN "on-the-go" dinner package.... but honestly $25/pp for a boxed meal doesn't sound that appealing. BUT AGAIN, time is more precious than money this time around and we would probably end up spending $30 on a quick serve dinner anyhow... so another $20 for having a reserved spot would probably be worth it. Especially if it saves us from 2 hours of sidewalk sitting to get a good spot. And would it be allowed (or even a good idea) to stay there and watch the fireworks after the parade? The schedule for September isn't out yet, so I have no idea of the timing of the two events. And not being as familiar with DL, not sure if that viewing location is good for the fireworks.

Feedback, ideas, suggestions, recommendations appreciated! Thanks...............P
