The Washington Post recently published a story of a black ops CIA sites in Eastern Europe. This not only jeopardizes our war on terror, but the country that provided the site but our American soldiers, agents, etc that staff these places. Trent Lott said that it is rumored to be a Republican senator or staffer. I am hearing more concern about the fact that these sites exist rather than the fact that our nation's secrets have been betrayed!! There is more angst over Valerie Plame who was an analyst and not covert, than the outing of a deeply covert operation involving foreign countries, our citizens and all that it implies.
This should be priority one. Instead its turning into a debate on whether they exist. Clearly while we have men and women in the field, shouldn't they be protected rather than engage in all of this hand wringing. Whoever leaked this should be outed immediately, no matter what party he is on!
