Need to get an adr for late lunch/early dinner. We will be in MK, MSEP is at 8 pm. We plan on a late arrival and eating somewhere to get us out of the heat for a bit. We are on the ddp. Where would you eat that would work into the above situation and what time?
Arrive MK sometime around 1, ride rides... eat at ? @ ? time...get spots to watch MSEP at 8 pm.
Thoughts on whats good, cast me, my mom, dd 11, dd 9

We often go to one of the MK Resorts for TS meal. Take the boat to WCC at WL or the Monorail to one of the Monorail resorts.

Meals are good, prices 'reasonable' and much more relaxing. Takes a bit longer than getting to but much more relaxing.

Maybe Crystal Palace, I would do a late lunch because if you got early dinner they are the same thing but paying more for dinner. I would do latest time possible, be done before 5 or so, then find a spot for parades and Crystal Palace is right by the castle and it is a character dining spot. Great restaurant (it's a buffet). Tell me what you think if not I can suggest another restaurant but I think a late lunch is the best time for you. Now, if you want to just be able to come right out of dinner and be an hour early for the parade to get a spot then I would do a dinner around 5:30/6:00pm. So that you could be out by 7 to get a spot for the parade at 8. Let me know what you think:thumbsup2

For a Resort restaurant I suggest either Ohana's at POLY or WCC at WL since they are close to MK, the good thing about POLY is that you can quick catch a monorail to MK. For the WL you would either have to ride the bus or take the boat.

If it were me, I would not leave the park to eat with that timeframe. Crystal Palace, LTT, Tony's or The Plaza are all good choices to get out of the heat for a while. (I love The Plaza).

We find the dining choices in the surrounding resorts to be better options than those in the parks.

Our first day for every trip has us arriving in early afternoon, checking in at our resort, grabbing a quick food court lunch and heading to MK.

We spend a few hours hitting some of the more low key attractions and then generally head over to the Contemporary to hang w/ the Fab 5 at Chef Mickey's.

Starting our trips w/ seeing the big mouse and friends makes it so we don't NEED to stand in lines for them elsewhere! :thumbsup2

Other favorite MK area resort options are 1900 Park Fare and Whispering Canyon Cafe. We haven't tried Ohana yet due to my extremely picky children!

I have to agree with the PP who said that, given your situation, eating outside the park would take up too much time due to the travel required. It almost always takes longer to get there and back than you think it will.

Any of the MK TS restaurants would be fine for an early dinner at 5:30-6:00, although my preference would be CP or LTT (because I like the food AND you can find a spot for the parade literally steps from the door of the restaurant).
Given the ages of your DDs, I'd opt for CP so they could have the character interaction as well.
