Hello friends & DISers! So I am bringing my Wife to Disney World for her Bday at the end of Nov. We are going to stay at the Grand. I have a reservation for the Outer Building, Theme Park View. I have been offered by Disney guest relations to upgrade us to an Outer Building "Club Level" Room. So my question is, which should I choose? I thought my Wife would enjoy seeing the Castle out of our window as well as possibly the fireworks, however I know Club Level has a lot of pluses. Please let me know your opinions and experiences. Thank you!

I agree with CL...the extra amenities you get are awesome. Food, Drink, and Service alone are well worth it.

I would do club level for the food, beverages and service. You can always walk to the marina or boat dock to see the fireworks.

Absolutely CL, you can see the fireworks from an alternate location at the Grand, but I love being able to go to the lounge for breakfast, snacks, or a drink at the end of the day.

They are offering you an upgrade for CL? For us CL trumps looking out the window at the castle any time! The CL offerings and service are the best. Breakfast is always good, mid day offerings and evening are great. When we stay CL we tend to book a late lunch ADR most days then enjoy the lounge offerings at dinner. They’re always so good. And I love grazing lol. Then there’s the desserts.
CL outer building is in Sugar Loaf.

Thanks for the info. and Help!!

Excellent! Thank you!

I would take CL, you can enjoy breakfast, get drinks all over the Day and I really loved the sweets and desserts at night when staying at the Poly CL. If your wife likes desserts she will love it. Also the concierge service is really great, they assist you with everything you need and a my experience was excellent. It maker you feel special. So, take CL and enjoy.

Club level for sure. Especially if they are upgrading you for free. :thumbsup2

I actually was able to see the castle from our room at Sugarloaf (the CL outer buildling) so you may get both! The only drawback to SL was that the middle rooms could be kind of noisy in the AM. If you are early risers, its not an issue. However, if you plan to sleep in, I would request a quieter room down the hall.

I just got back from a trip staying at GF. I was upgraded to a lagoon view- the Poly was right across from me. I was able to see the Electric Water Pageant from my balcony. It was great, but I was only in the room to watch it x1. I saw HEA once from the boat dock area, there are some nice benches.

For me, I really do not plan to be in the room when the fireworks go off, so I would take CL! You can use the CL offering all day long.

I would choose CL for the reasons pp already mentioned. It would be a treat for you and your wife to pamper yourselves with breakfast in the lounge in the morning, afternoon snacks and drinks to enjoy by the pool or on your balcony while people watching, and evening appetizers, desserts and drinks. I also think the location of Sugar Loaf is prime being right outside the main building back entrance, next to the courtyard pool, and close to the boat launch.

My advice for fireworks would be to grab a table outside Gaspie's near the marina and enjoy a bottle of wine and some appetizers while waiting for the show. It is so lovely there and they set up a speaker there to hear the music

Depends on whether you think you will be at the resort enough to actually eat the food in CL. We have only done CL once but decided it wasn't for us because we prefer to eat at the WDW restaurants as opposed to what is offered at CL and we were rarely even at the resort when the food was being served. If you will be spending more time at the resort than the parks then you might want to consider it. Personally I would prefer enjoying the Theme Park view from the balcony while enjoying a glass a wine in the evening.

Get a garden view room- you won't be disappointed that you saved the money. I PROMISE

Also the club level rooms suffer from a lot of noise because the club offerings are right outside the doors of the rooms. There have been tons of complaints about this.

The lounge is only on the main floor in the middle. Rooms on other floors shouldn’t be affected.
