Trinidad South is the farthest away from the food court and main pool.

Trinidad North and Martinique are the preferred villages costing extra nightly.

Lots of folks like Jamaica. I have a map of the resort up on my website listed below.

If you did not book a preferred room (in the Martinique or Trinidad North sections) you may want to request a room in the Jamaica or Aruba sections if you want easier walking access to the food court and main theme pool. These two sections are across the lake from the food court building and can be reached by crossing a bridge and an island in the middle of the lake.

Each section of buildings has its own bus stop, if you're planning on using Disney transportation. Even the food court building (Old Port Royale) has its own bus stop, so you can go there for breakfast and get on a park bus right outside the building.

You may want to look at a resort map; there's one at

If you did not spend the extra $10 per night in a preferred room, you could still try to get one at checkin if they are not full-my friend did this and got one at no cost in Martinique. She said Martinigue rooms, second floor had great views, close to things but low noise. Ask for a water view room also-otherwise your only window may face the parking lot.

With all the landscaping at CBR even a room that has a parking lot view it is hard to see the cars.

Water view rooms cost extra but it doesn't hurt to ask at check in for one. You may be upgraded for free.

WE loved Jamaica-it was a short walk across the bridge making it close to all the action-food and shops but far enough to make it relaxing and peaceful-we used the quiet pool and had a bus stop right next to our building. During our visit we also noticed that buses picked up at Jamaica first and dropped off first so we always had a seat and got back quickly. :)

Aren't bldgs. 21, 22, and 23 in Martinique NOT considered "preferred"?

We stayed IN Martinique bldg 24 four years ago and I do not recall paying extra or even requesting the bldg. Is it something new or was I just lucky? Anyway we were close to the bustop and the foodcourt / pool / shops it was fabulous, even the map makes it look a longer distance that it really is, I would say I probably walked farther from my room to the elevator at the Hilton than I did from martinique to the food court, it would be worth the xtra $10 to me if I had a 2 yr old. Go For it!

We just got back yesterday. Buildings 25 and 26 are closest to the main pool and food court. We stayed in building 24 which just overlooked the quiet pool. We liked the quiet pool much more than the main pool. It seemed cleaner and there was always a lounge chair available. The only thing of course is no bar or hot tub at the quiet pool. The room has refrigerators so you can get extra beverages (beer, cokes) and bring them back. Building 24 was very close to the bus stop also. Not too far from food court.

Not exactly sure when the new charges began because we stayed at CBR several times, always in Martinque, always a corner room and building closest to Old Port Royale and there was no extra charge back then.

This map should be enlarged and easier to see where village locations- hope it comes through!

edit: safteymom - thanks for the update about the building location charges!

We have stayed there three times and are going back for our fourth in January.

We think the best room at CBR is Room 4456 in Jamaica (second floor) - it is a corner room with a water view and right next to the footbridge that takes you over to Old Port Royale (a 5 minute walk at most).

We were upgraded in 2003 to this room and until we arrived we didn't know we were upgraded. We were very luckly and have decided that we will always request this area, this building and if we feel lucky, that room:)

BaciBecky - nope - it was Bldg. 44. Let me know if you have any other questions:)
