Which room is bigger at Bay Lake Tower- 2 bedroom dedicated or 2 bedroom lock off? Or which room at least feels bigger? When I calculated the size in square feet, the 2 bedroom lock off is the same size as the 2 bedroom dedicated, but it appears as though in videos the 2 bedroom dedicated has a more open feel. Have any of you stayed in one and preferred one over the other?

The lock-off has less usable space in the 2nd BR. The 1 BR side is about the same, there is a slight difference in the odd and even number units.

Zero difference between the two in the Master bedroom and living room area. The difference is in the 2nd bedroom where a studio part of the lockoff will have its walk in galley kitchenette, a queen bed and a double sleeper sofa. Best to base the decision on the number of real beds you'd want and if the studio kitchenette would be of use or not.

Then there's difference in the inner facing rooms and outer facing rooms. The building shape gives a bit of a pie shape to the rooms. The inner facing rooms (odd numbered) living area will be more narrow at the outsidewall and wider at the hallway wall. You have a walk in laundry room because of that but no chairs at the kitchen island because it's narrowing. In the outer rooms (even numbered) the rooms are widest at the outside wall and most narrow at the hallway wall. There's no walk in laundry room - instead it's a closet with stacked washer/dryer. But because it's wider in the living area/kitchen there's seating at the kitchen island.

As noted above, it is not particularly a room-size difference but a difference in things in the room (the studio in a lock-off has the kitchen-like area for the small fridge and microwave), and a number of the 2BRs on the outer-part of the U-shaped building have a larger area where the living room and sleeping rooms are, while a number in the inner-part are larger nearer where the room is closer to the entry door.

In choosing a lock-off or dedicated, main things to consider rather than size are: (a) the lock-off has two entry doors, one to the 1BR and one to the studio, and the dedicated has only one entry door before the kitchen area; thus if mainly children who can open doors will be in the second bedroom, you may want to choose a dedicated; (b) the dedicated has one-kitchen allowing for more closet space in the 2d bedroom, while the lock-off has the second small kitchen-like area with a small fridge and microwave, and second coffee maker; (c) the dedicated has two queen beds in the second bedroom, and the lock-off a queen and a couch/pull-out queen in the studio.
