When my boys (twins) were about 6, they loved Splash, SM, Matterhorn, and BTMRR. They were terrified on Indy and the HM. We were really surprised since they aren't timid kids. I think part of the issue with the HM was that the ride broke when we were in the small round room at the start. We were stuck in there for about 20 minutes. Seemed like forever. Older brother was 7 at the time and loved all the rides.
We went again when they were around 8. They rode ToT and Screamin' and loved it. They cried again on Indy and still were apprehensive in the HM. Older brother was 9 and refused to ride Screamin'.
I think it depends on the child.
