Which rides to avoid due to motion sickness?

I get Motion Sick and have Vertigo and my issues are on spinning rides. No Teacups, swings and Roger Rabbit. I actually just tried Flick's Flyers and nope on that one too. I have to sit in the middle section of Soaring. TSMM whips me around a bit and the motion sickness comes and goes but I can tolerate it. The subs are pretty bad and I can only do if I am on the end and mentally prepared (so not really). Might be more claustrophobia though.

I am surprisingly okay on Star Tours and Guardians although it was a bit nauseating the last time I rode it. Still worth it for me.

Nothing as bad as Mission Space though. The. Worst. Ride. Ever.

... I can’t do the submarines because the enclosed space coupled with the moving window scenes gets me headachy and sick...

If you want to try Nemo without actually going into the subs, ask to use the alternate viewing room. You will sit on a bench seat in a nice little room where you will hear the same soundtrack that is played in the subs while you watch the window scenes play on a screen in front of you. Very helpful for those with claustrophobia, motion sickness, mobility issues, etc. Really helped my mom who can't get down the sub staircase safely and helped our youngest when fear of the dark was a big issue.

My wife yacked on star tours years ago. Now she takes Dramamine in the morning and is fine on all rides.

My trigger is not being able to see and anticipate quick movements and tight spins. Space Mt. is the worst for me, I'll do it once per trip for the family and I just close my eyes. Star Tours used to be worse, but I've gotten pretty good at anticipating where we are going and I just pretend I'm behind the wheel. On the teacups and Roger Rabbit I fight the spin and keep the car fairly straight and do okay.

I can ride everything else with no issues, even the sliding cars on Mickey's Fun Wheel that come equipped with barf bags.

Good to Go: GotG, TSMM/Buzz, BTRR, Dumbo, RSR, Soarin', pretty much anything else that doesn't spin too wildly.

Oh, Heck NO!: Teacups, ST, SM, Screamin', Mater (I was surprised at this). The thing with Screamin' isn't the roller coaster part per se, it's the way it comes to a sudden stop at the end.

I never knew about this. Do you wait in the regular line and then ask for the viewing room when you get to the front of the line? I don't go on the ride because it's too claustrophobic for me.

The alternate viewing room is to the far right of the ride. So don't get in the regular line. Facing the ride, head to the far right toward Autopia. There should be a CM posted by the alt. viewing room. Just ask about being allowed in for the next round. It will depend on how many people are already waiting. Sometimes we go right in and sometimes we have to wait until the next viewing.
