Hi to everyone. We are going to Disney 11/1 - 11/8. We will do Disney parks Sun thru Wed, rest on Thurs, and do Universal on Fri and Sat. We are staying at CBR so will use EE. It will be me, DH, and 8 year old daughter, who doesn't like large roller costers. Told to do Safari ride at AK first and Mission Space at Epcot. Which ride do I start with at MK and MGM?? I will stay at each EE park during morning then go to different hopefully less crowded park. Also, What time should we arrive at park for EE (I know it starts at 8:00)? Also, is the trick to avoiding the lines to keep getting fast passes in the morning and use them in afternoon when park gets crowded?? Thanks for everyones help. I am a first timer and have really benefited from all the help from you experts!!! Mindy

Hi!

We always take advantage of EE if we possibly can. We arrive about 30-45 minutes prior to opening - so 7:15ish for an 8am opening. Now some people will tell you that this is crazy, but if you arrive early, you won't be sorry.

For MK - I would hit FantasyLand ASAP. If your daughter has any interest at all in riding Dumbo, go there first. It is not Fastpass and this will be the shortest line all day first thing in the morning. If dad doesn't want to ride, send him with the tickets to Buzz Lightyear while you and daughter are waiting in line.

Then hit the New Mickey's Philharmagic, Peter Pan, and Pooh. Go ride Buzz and pick up your next fast pass or if she really wants to do the race cars between fantasyland and tomorrowland, hit those early too because they also are not FP and the line is ridiculously long all day.

For MGM - the only good rides at EE are TOT and RNR but if she won't do these, then head in the other direction and ride Star Tours and then see the Muppets. You will be surprised that you will have time after EE before other attractions open up at MGM if you plan carefully. We usually take advantage of this time to grab a pastry from the bakery called Starring Roles. mmmm. . .

The touring plans listed in the Unofficial Guide to WDW by Bob Sehlinger for EE are excellent. I highly recommend you buy this and follow the plans in there.

Hope this helps!

When we were there recently we had two kids in strollers so we didn't race when we got in at opening. we went straight to dumbo and found a long line. we decided to do Peter Pan and Pooh then we went back to dumbo and the line was much shorter. i think so many people just run to dumbo that if you wait 20 or 30 min. you might have a shorter line, but don't wait to long. And yes get as many Fast passes as you can. We found that if we got there at opening we were able to ride everything in Fantasyland in two hours. so we only got a FP for philharmagic because my DW wanted to see it twice. Definately take the other posters advice and send DH to buzz for FP, on the bottom of the ticket it will tell you when you can get another. As soon as you can, pick up another one, for whatever you would like to ride most. Get as many as you can early, before the return time gets to far away. You don't have to ride the ride to get another FP, you just have to wait for the time printed on the bottom of the ticket.

Just though of something else your DD might like. If she is a tinkerbelle fan the first one in Tinks shop each morning gets to wake tink up. It was cute, they give your DD a wand and tell her to wake up tinkerbelle, You hear some noise and then lights come out of the box and fly around the room. Then they give DD a certificate that makes a nice souvinier. Tinks shop is to your left as you go through the castle.
