Which rides are going to make me sick (other than the teacups!)?

okay so this whole Mission Space issue has made me realize that without reading that I might not have realized it would probably make me naseous. I do tend to get sick to my tummy now that I am older on rides - so what rides would be more likely to cause me to feel sick. I don't want to ruin my children's fun time by getting myself all nauseous! Any obvious culprits? We will be visiting MK, AK, MGM, and Epcot.

Rock'n roller coaster in MGM is one that can make me not feel so good...but not because of being nauseous or queasy to the stomache, but because of headaches...especially if I go on it twice.

As much as Disney tried to make it so your head does not bang in between the side head rests, mine always does no matter how hard I try not to. My DH said to keep my head pressed against one of them, but it still doesn't help. It hasn't gotten to the point where I will stay off of it, and I still love the ride, but I know that I will probably have a slight headache when I get off...doesn't last that long though. :teeth:

For me it was Star Tours...while it looks like it would be fun, and indeed is fun, it is not something I wish to experience again. I felt nauseaus for ages after that one..and I was fine with Rock n Roller coaster, T of T, even the teacups....

I will never ride Star tours again! Although it was a simulation, I felt progressively more nauseated both during & after it was over. I also agree with the post about Rock'n Roller Coaster; I always get a headache on this ride (which sometimes leads to mild nausea but resolves pretty quickly!).

RNRC doesn't make me nauseated.

Astro Orbiter is one that sneaks up on you, and depending on where you are sitting Star Tours and Body Wars can too. I think I'm done with Star Tours because it really made me ill.

Oh, also the O Canada film. I had to leave the theater! Seriously the part where the camera 'sleds' down the ill was just too much. The film was all shaky.

Teacups has always made me nauseated, I stay off those.

We normally do Star Tours several, but I must take breaks between (DS10's fav MGM ride).

Mission Space-was the worse I have ever experienced other than the Astro Orbiter.

Primevil Whirl (sp?) can get me sick too if ridden too much. Last year there was no line (DS10'sfav ride at AK) so we rode it over and over and over, by turn 5 I couldn't handle it anymore. Since there was no line, one time they just asked us if we wanted to stay on, I should had said no.

The ones that affect me are Mission Space, the Tea Cups and to a far lesser degree Astro Orbiter. Nothing has ever made me throw up or anything, but I've felt yucky after MS and tea cups (believe it or not, more the tea cups than MS). I avoid both of those now. Someone in our party got sick once after RnR, but I've never had a problem with that - although I do get a bad headache if I ride more than once (so I don't!) from my head banging around during the ride.

There are so many warning signs on Mission:Space, that it's hard to imagine why that woman went on it in the first place.

A lot of being sick is knowing what makes you sick in the first place.

I can't do any "around in circles" rides, like Teacups or Astro-Orbiter. I can't ride any simulators, which I think is a mind-over-matter issue: I know I am not actually riding in space in a Star Tours vehicle, that sort of thing. However, I rode Soarin' twice on the lat trip, and I was fine.

Lately, Space Mountain has done a number on my stomach, I think because it's so jerky.

For me it's rides like
TOT
Splash
will not even try
MS
SM
RNR
Everest

I am ok with(a little discomofrt)
BTMRR
Star Tours
Dinosaur
Soarin
teacups

So as you can tell the big drops are out...
but spinny things are ok for me.(I have really bad vertigo :confused3 go figure)

The Astro Orbiter always gets to me, and Body Wars hits me pretty hard as well.

For some reason I get really nauseous during the Small World Ride.

Must be all the turns! (?)

Hmmmmm...

I can't even watch the teacups without getting sick! BUT non of the simulator rides bother me in the least, even going on star tours 4x in a row with DS.

Primevil whirl could get to me but it didn't seem to last long enough or be in a sustained spin long enough to do it. No problem with astro orbiter and none with MS.

The TTA makes me nauseous when I ride it backwards.....weird, I know.
