Which rides are difficult w/ two adults? As far as size/room....

Ha...I had no idea what to put in the title.

The "Pooh sized" thread had me thinking. Many tall people were speaking of issues with rides like Astro Orbiter & the Matterhorn.

My problem is my DD is no longer "kid sized", she's taller than me & there's just about 25 lbs difference in our weight. I imagine if we were on a ride together where she gets pushed against me (in momentum) that I'd be struggling. Plus the kid is like STEEL, she karate blocked me one day & I thought she tore my hand off!

Are there any rides where we should let the kids ride together or...she can sit w/ DH instead of me?

I would think this is kinda hard to predict. Height and weight distribution would play a major role. I am 76", 218 and I carry my weight in my legs, chest, arms and shoulders(no butt). Matterhorn bothers my knees if I can not sit a bit side ways. I always try a ride, see if it works, and go on from there.

Most rides will accommodate two adults side by side. Most are actually built for 2 adults and a small child (or 2) to sit together. The only ones I can think would be a tight squeeze would be in the front row of Alice, maybe the front row of Pooh, and you may want to fly your own elephants on Dumbo.

The thing is, last time the kids wanted to ride next to me every ride (poor DH!) & so we traded every other ride.....but now, I need to be a little more strategic so 101 lbs of steel isn't resting on me! :rotfl:

Gadget's Go-Coaster is a tight fit (but at least it's quick ;) ). If you're both of average (or slightly above average) hips and your legs aren't too long, you should be able to fit in. Unless you're both quite small, there can't be any "momentum" problems, though, as you'll be far too tightly-wedged to shift in the car. :)

While you should both fit into the cars with more than enough room, I think Big Thunder Mountain Railroad may be the worst as far as momentum. Unless your DD makes a strong effort not to, she's pretty likely to swing into you (and vice-versa) as the coaster speeds around the track. The seats are quite wide; I believe three small children can ride in them easily. I got squished sometimes on my last trip, riding that ride. :flower3: I think most of the cars on BTMRR have padding on the sides so it's usually not too bad for me, though.

I agree with Eeee-va, BTMRR came first to my mind. And then of course, Matterhorn.

Good thing I checked this thread - BTMRR she can ride w/ DH! Matterhorn will be down... The girl is 11 & 5'6" !!! I just can't keep up ...

The only ride we had an issue with as Matterhorn because DH and i were stuck in the back together and it was a pleasent ride for me my knees were hitting the seat in front everytime we went over a bump. Also would of been interesting watching us get in and out *** it certainly was an effort

The Astro Orbitors (or whatever they call the Rocket Jets now, lol) are difficult for even one adult to fit into! I'm average sized but am 6' tall, and it's an obstacle course in & of itsself for me to get in/out of them

My DH and I don't like sitting in the first row of the Pooh ride. It has less leg room than the 2nd and 3rd rows. If we are assigned the first 2 rows, we put the kids together in the front and sit behind them.
