Which Revamped Attractions Would Have Been Best Left Alone?

Disney Imagineers have a tendency to tinker with their rides to try and "improve" the experience. From what I've seen, this has been a hit-or-miss deal, with some attractions actually better, but others should simply have been left alone. What makes your list of ones (still active) that shouldn't have been touched? Here's mine:

Journey Into Imagination (should have stuck with the original)
Test Track (don't care for Tron Track)
Universe of Energy (don't care for Ellen Degeneres)
Spaceship Earth (should have kept Jeremy Irons' narration, Tomorrow's Child, etc)
TTA (hate the current spiel, always liked the "now approaching....." voice-over)
Great Movie Ride (I much prefer the original pre-show film, original narration, and original end film)

I am definitely with you on the first two! I miss the original of Figment and TT.

Agree with these... :)

I'l say the Tiki Room when it was Under New Management. Fortunately, the Tiki Gods did not approve and it was returned (mostly) to its original state.

Also, the last scene in the COP still bothers me. It's...weird.

Oh, and the Tower of Terror at DCA. They announced opening dates for Guardians of the Galaxy today...but I still don't care. Well, we still have DHS!

TEST TRACK!!!!! And they didn't even fix the one real problem with the ride - how often it breaks. I also don't like the noise level in the new Winnie the Pooh line area. Activities are okay, but why add so much noise?

I prefer these originals:

Alien Encounter
Maelstrom
Mexico Boat Ride

Bill From PA

How about all of Tomorrowland?

Putting in Stitch, Monsters Inc and Buzz (the last two are fun attractions, but still) changed the whole concept of Tomorrowland -- being a futuristic spaceport and how it all tied in with Space Mountain and the People Mover.

Now .. you ride the people mover and see ... Buzz Lightyear? Immersion ruined!

TT - totally agree with you here, the revamped theme is terrible. The original theme was perfect as it was. And cars still go through crash testing, so to me the theme was not at all dated.
Journey into Imagination - the original was wonderful. Loved the Dreamfinder, and there was a story to explain how Figment came to be. The middle incarnation was awful. The current version is not great, but better than the middle one. I will forever miss the original.
Alien Encounter - OK, this attraction was terrifying (and I was in college when I experienced it). But it was still pretty incredible and better than the Stitch re-do, though I do understand why the changes were made. Alien Encounter just didn't fit into the fun for the whole family atmosphere of MK.

Totally agree about Journey Into Imagination. And my whole family loved Alien Encounter. The pre-show was great. "If something can't be done with X-S..." We used to say that all the time.

I also don't like the concourse at The Contemporary since they put the gift shop in the middle of it. Is that an attraction? We used to hang out there during down time.

I agree 100% with you on this! Also, most of the merchandise in the Fantasia Store is "stuff" which can be found all over WDW. The original store at one time had unique merchandise.

As far as I'm concerned, the redo of Imagination is a disaster. I wish Disney would return the attraction to its original glory, Figment, Dreamfinder, and all. I preferred the original Spaceship Earth with narration by Walter Cronkite.
