I am going to be making my 180 day ADR's soon and I was wondering if anyone knows which places require a credit card deposit? How much do they hold on the card? I am using the Premium Dinning plan and was wondering if it is the 10 pp for a no show, or the price of the meal?

Thanks
Alycia

These are the ones that I know off the top of my head:

California Grill.
Pride of Aloha.
Hoop Dee Doo.
Mickey's Backyard BBQ.
Fantasmic Packages at Hollywood Studios.

California Grill just hold your number in case you don't cancel 24 hrs before hand if you don't show it is a charge of $20 pp. The CRT charges your card they don't not hold it. Did it twice & my card was charged the next day. If you are using dining plan & want to use them have to give them 48 hrs notice & then will credit your credit card back to you. I have heard from friends who did this & had a hard time getting credit back to their card after they used the dining plan;)

I believe Hollywood Brown Derby also asks for your credit card number and charges you something if you do not cancel in time (tried to confirm this online but can't find it although I am pretty sure we had to last year). With HDDR, the full amount is charged to your credit card immediately but it is refunded if you cancel more than 48 hours out.

what about Ohana? for the character breakfast? I feel like character dining and buffets/family style usually ask for CCs cuz its one set price but i could be wrong.

If you are on a dining plan, CRT only requires your CC number in case of cancellation with less than, I want to say, 24 hours. There are not actual charges on your CC. This includes Cali Grill, the other rest that require CC #'s and the dinner shows. It is a wonderful thing to have the dining plan for these.

NO this is not correct. The will not charge your card if you are on the dining plan. You need to make sure you tell them your on the dining plan. They will only hold your cc number on your ADR and if you don't show they will charge it $10pp for the no show. I just made ADR's at CRT, HDDR, Princess Storybook Breakfast. All they did was take my cc#. No charges have been made to my cc.

I made reservations for CRT for next month, I am on the DDP, and was charged the full amount for the amount of people i have. I was told that when I show up and use it as part of my plan, they will put the money back on my credit card.

Call back and get that fixed. That should not have happened if you were on the dining plan and gave them your confirmation number. Your CM on the phone messed up!

I agree with Donaldseeyore- I am on ddp and got Cinderellas royal table and never got charged. they told me they would only charge if I was a no show.

Thanks so much for all the info. It really helps with the ADR planning. DH does not want to eat anywhere that we are going to be charged upfront for the meal (we are already spending so much money, don't need to spend more).

Thanks
Alycia
