Where do you eat lunch as soon as getting on the ship? Topsiders or Parrot Cay, just curious??

We like topsiders because we like the variety and like to eat outside (if the weather permits) and you can get in and out pretty quickly ... then hit the pools!!

They are both open when you board. We were on the Wonder and did the BBB and sat outside by the sprinkler area. It was nice.

Ditto! In a previous thread on this topic it seemed that most preferred Parrot Cay, but we really like Topisders. We usually head right up there after boarding, bypass the line to drop our carry ons at a table and then head back to the buffet line. We really like sitting outside if the weather is nice.

Our past twol cruises we went t o Parrot Cay and did enjoy it. Just thinking we might switch it up this time.

I prefer topsiders/beach blanket buffet (that's what it's called, right?). I like eating outside and viewing the other ports and ships as opposed to be inside at Parrot Cay (and I'm not crazy about the atmosphere there anyway).

Just to make it fair and balanced, we much prefer Parrot Cay. But will quickly add, we are quite old and in no hurry to get in the pool or even out in the sun. We always eat at the sit down choices and really enjoy visiting with the servers who are not so rushed at breakfast and lunch as they are at dinner. I realize we don't represent a significant number of Disney cruisers. We are 78/85 years old and enjoy cruising as much as young folks - just in a different way.

We love Parrot Cay as it's air conditioned and for us a little more relaxing. We get on the boat early enough that we can tour the top decks in the sun later.

We do enjoy eating our first breakfast on board in the ocean breeze at Topsiders.

I just wanted to clarify that both Topsiders/Beach Blanket Buffet and Parrot Cay offer buffets each day, including the first day. There is no sit-down option on Embarkation Day. On other days Lumiere's/Triton's offers a sit-down lunch option. The one difference between T/BBB and PC is that at PC servers will seat you and bring you your drinks. The food, however, is a standard buffet in both locations.

Like Aunt Jo we always go to Parrot Cay other than the first ever cruise.

We always request/like a table near a wall or window tuck way in a corner. We relaxed and take out time eating and relaxing. Sometime I would go run off to check on seating or reservation or get extra room key (when we have connecting rooms). The reason for our preference? We feel that Parrott Cay seems more relaxed and not a rush like Topsiders/BBB.

On our first cruise we got food from Beach Blanket, but had a very hard time finding a table. It was really windy and birds were trying to share our meal. We also had to lug around our carry-on bags. Other than all that I did like sitting outside.

So on the next cruise we ate at Parrot Cay. It was much easier, but I missed being out on deck.

We'll probably eat at Parrot Cay on the next one. Or maybe just grab something from Goofy's Galley and Pluto's. Can't wait to try the paninis and wraps. Unless they changed sinced 2004, Pluto's has great chicken fingers.
