Which restaurants do not accept the room charge as payment?

In addition to the restaurants at the Swan & Dolphin, what other restaurants on Disney property do not allow you to charge the bill to your room? Are there any in DTD?

Also, I know that certain kiosks at the Boardwalk only accept cash. Anywhere else that only accepts cash? Thanks! :goodvibes

Thank you for posting this question. I wasn't thinking that these restaurants were not associated with Disney. They probably won't take a Disney Gift Card then either will they? I was planning on using the GC for all of our food purchases but since the restaurants at the Dolphin take AAA for a discount I thought we would go over there to eat some meals. I better think of an alternate way to pay though.

Again - thank you for helping me re-think this.

You're welcome! I suppose you could always pay at the S/D restaurants with a credit card...that would be my guess, that they would take major credit cards.

I still would like to know if there are other restaurants (like in DTD) that don't accept the room charge, since there are still other restaurants that are not run by Disney but are located on Disney property.

Ate there last August, and while we could use our dining credits for the meal, we were told we couldn't pay the tip on our KTTW card OR our Disney Rewards card. Had to snag up tip money from my DSS. :confused3(we don't usually carry much cash)

Although Raglan Road is on the DP and you can pay the tip with your room key it sure confused the heck out of them when we were there last August. Our server said that if we wanted to put the tip on our room key she would need to give us a bill for 1 penny and then we could add the tip to that. First time that had happened to us at Disney.

Espresso Coffee and Pastries -- the cart in Epcot, right outside the World Showplace, between UK and Canada -- does not take room charge. They accept cash or credit cards.

Thank you! This one is a possibility for us to grab a quick snack. We're not on any of the dining plans so I am not concerned about what snacks are considered snack credits and which ones are not. Good to know also that they accept credit cards and it is not cash only. I know that the kiosk at the Boardwalk (where we are staying) only takes cash.

Visa gift card rather than Disney gift card. Usable wherever Visa is accepted. Would keep the whole Gift Card idea without the hassle of worrying that it's limited to certain Disney restaurants.
