Athough I picked Ohanas, (that would be my #1) I wouldn't miss CRT, Crystal Palace, and Whispering Canyon. We also really like Teppanyaki at Epcot, but these are just our favorites. You'll have all sorts of opinions, including mine since I'll pipe in, because no matter the reviews, everyones' experience differs. Our Sci Fi experience wasn't good, and Mama Melrose and Le Cellier were only okay. You can't go wrong, especially on the free dining package, because even our worse experience was edible, we just wouldn't go there again. (We are the kind of people to send it back to the kitchen if we can't eat it if it is ridiculously over cooked or undercooked).
Have fun!

I chose Whispering Canyon because I want to try it.We just returned and used the dining plan(free).I love Le Cellier,Crystal Palace, and CRT.

We were there the first of this month. Our table service meals were as follows:

Sept 2: dinner - Whispering Canyon Cafe (9pm ADR)
AYCE Skillet - DH, DD
Pork Chops - self
Appy - wings, nachos, salad
Drinks - sheriff shakes (x2), Smoothie

Sept 3: Brkfst - Chef Mickey's (10:30am ADR)

Sept 3: Dinner - Ohana (9:20pm ADR)

Sept 4: Dinner - Shutter's (6:30pm ADR)
Prime Rib? - DH
Mojo shrimp - self
Iago's Chicken Breast - DD

Sept 5: Brkfst - Donald's Breakfastosaurus

Everyone loved WCC, CM, and Donald's. DH, DD, DS loved Ohana. None of us cared much for Shutter's. That said, I'd recommend all except Shutter's.

I voted for CRT but we have also been to 50's an Whispering Canyon and loved them both

I chose CRT as a do not miss but Le Cellier and Crystal Palace are also great ones!

I voted for Whispering Canyon because we've always had a great time when we've gone there.

To be honest though, aside from CRT we've had pretty good experiences at all the other options (we've never done breakfast at CRT).

I will say however that Ohana IMO is a one-of-a-kind experience that everyone should do at least once in their Disney-going lives.

This was a hard choice since i've enjoyed sooo many of these dinners.
1. Crystal Palace tried for the first time this past august, All enjoyed the food and who can say anything bad about piglet, this will now be one of regular stops.
2. Chef Mickey's is alot of fun, characters interacted with our table quite a bit (all adults and teenage boys) and food was good.
3. 50's Prime time diner great for when you want the homecooked meal
4. Whispering Pines - great skits, good BBQ
5. Loved LeCellar enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere

Have not visited CRT yet and did not care for Ohanas (august trip) at all.

Have a great trip

I voted fo 50's Prime TIme Cafe, but I could easily have voted for Le Cellier.

Le Cellier
Chef Mickey's
Crystal Palace
CRT (breakfast)
O'Hanna (dinner)
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Mama Melrose
50' Prime Time Cafe

My choices are above. Le Cellier is the best. The others are listed in preference order behind it. Maggie

I have done them all with exception to Whispering Canyon (want to do someday when I can spare the time to get to WL) and O'Hana's (no desire whatsoever.)
I'll share my experiences:
Mama Melrose - nothing exceptional. atmosphere is average.
Chef Mickey's - a must do for breakfast, simply due to the characters and fun.
Crystal Palace - ate dinner here in August. Not bad for a buffet and enjoyed the characters.
CRT - had lunch. Lot of character bang for the buck!
50's Prime Time - Fun! Best meal of my August trip (meatloaf, who would think?)
Le Cellier - ate there in August as well. IMHO (not a popular one on the boards) this place is overrated!

CP - breakfast. Love Pooh & the gang and the puffed french toast!!!

they are so different it's hard to know what you want....i said wcc cause i think that't the most fun and has better quality food than say prime time but lecellier is good foor but more formal than wcc...so it depends on what you are looking for. the rest are so so imo as far as food goes ( haven't eaten at Mma mel or cp for along time)

Crystal Palace (Breakfast)
Chef Mickey (Dinner)
Whispering Canyon
Mama Melrose

I would suggest Concourse Steakhouse for Dinner and CRT for dinner. I didn't try CRT for breakfast - but loved it for dinner and saw Cinderella after dinner there.

Thanks for all your response!!!

Considering that some of those restaurants are not in the park and that to go eat lets say at Whispering Canyon Cafe, how should I do this so we wont miss to much of the parks????

Because I would LOVED to go to other hotel to try the restaurants but going back and forth is not a good idea. :confused3

Chef Mickey is one stop on the monorail or easy walk from MK. I believe I saw a ferry to Whispering Canyon - don't know the time.

There is regular ferry boat service from the Magic Kingdom to Wilderness Lodge (and also Fort Wilderness & Contemporary). It's just like the bus & monorail service.

Thanks I didn't know about the ferry boat to WL!!! It makes it very easy to go to!!

Now I'm shure I want to go at Whispering Canyon Cafe!!!
