Which restaurant to pay out of pocket?

We have one more table service restaurant booked than our dining plan allows, and we've decided to just pay one out of pocket.

I'm assuming the AYCTE restaurants are the most economical, correct? Are there any out of the list below that are way more economical than the others, or is it sixes?

Tusker House (breakfast)
1900 Park Fare (dinner)
Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner)
Whispering Canyon Cafe (dinner)
Ohana (dinner)

Are these all dinners? I think Whispering Canyon is the cheapest of these, but depending on your other restaurants and what you think you will order, it might be cheaper to pay for a regular TS out of pocket. The AYCTE restaurants are often higher than the order off the menu places.

All except Tusker House are dinner. That's breakfast

The dining plan gets you specialty drinks for free, plus dessert so my impression was that Tusker House breakfast will be the most economical, because everything we would purchase would be included.

You are right if you'll be getting specialty drinks at all of the other meals - they add up fast.

Breakfasts buffets are always cheaper than lunch or dinner, so the TH would be the one I'd pay OOP. This assumes you are all getting the skillet at WCC. If you are ordering a la carte there or if someone may want just an appetizer and/or there may be meal sharing, then I would suggest checking their menu to see what the cost would be.

Breakfast is always cheaper and while I love all of your choices when people start ordering off of those menus it adds up. For our next trip one of my daughters great aunt wanted to buy one meal for her part in the vacation. She has picked Coral Reef and when I told her to budget $400+ for that one meal (for 8) she about died. It does add up.
