This is my fourth trip to WDW, and have never tried any of the restaurants at the Magic Kingdom. This upcoming trip will be my first with just my wife and I, and was wondering where a nice "magical" place to eat would be at the MK? I really wanted to try the "Liberty Tavern" , but I'm not interested in having characters walking around and disturbing our meal. Any suggestions?

Try the LTT for lunch! Only the evening dinner meal is a character meal.

My other suggestion would be the castle for lunch or dinner. Breakfast is the only meal there with characters (princesses). You may fun into the Fairy Godmother or one of the princesses in the lobby, though. I love the atmosphere in the dining room for lunch and dinner - relatively quiet and even magically elegant, IMHO.

:D

You may want to try Tony at the front of Main Street. The atmosphere is a little more adult and the food is great.

Personally, I would hop the monorail to a resort restaurant so that we could have adult drinks with our adult meal. ;)

I would have to say Tonys... ask for a table overlooking Main Street!

LTT for lunch is also pretty adult oriented, as well.

DO try the Liberty Tree for lunch. Very calm escape from the parks, good food, reasonably priced. Cinderella's Castle would be my choice for an adult dinner in the MK and has a very nice atmosphere but IMO the food is "just ok". For dinner I would probably do as one poster mentioned and hop the monorail since there are so many nice resort restaurants.

How about Cinderella's Royal Table? I have not eaten dinner here, but it is a beautiful restaurant. And NO characters. I hope you have a great vacation.

I have eaten dinner at Cinderella's Castle and loved it. I had a queen cut prime rib that was huge. We also timed our PS with being able to see the fireworks while we were in the dining room. It was really beautiful and very romantic. There was even a proposal of marriage a few tables away. You wouldn't be dissappointed with this restaurant!

I'm with CamColt. Cindy's in particular would be so much better if they offered drinks at dinner--.
That said--if you must eat at the MK, Cindys is probably the best spot, followed by Tony's.
You'll find plenty of children at each place--.

Thanks for the suggestions!! I had heard of LTT and CIndy's , but never heard of TONY's . Maybe We'll try all 3. Does anyone know if Liberty Tree serves the same meal for lunch as Dinner.

I saw someone post the dinner menu and it sounds delicious.

No, there is a different menu for lunch. Although, I think the turkey and dressing is an option on that menu. But I am not for sure.

My understanding is that the lunch menu is better than the dinner.

Dinner at LTT is an all you can eat character meal served family style. Lunch is ordered from a menu and is MUCH better in our opinion. No characters at lunch.

My first choice for an adult meal at MK would be CRT but we're with Camcolt and Uncle. We enjoy dinner at the MK resorts.
