argh, too bad the poll only allows 10 choices. :(
i thought of 11 different restaurants that serve buffet-only breakfasts. (i.e. you can only get the buffet, there is no a la carte menu available) only 10 of them are in the poll.
and i think there are 6 more restaurants that offer a la carte menus, but also have the option to pay for an "all-you-can-eat" type of breakfast.

anyway, other restaurants i didn't list in the poll:

Cape May Cafe
Coral Cafe
Garden Grove
Yacht Club Galley
Grand Floridian Cafe
Boatwright's at POR
Whispering Canyon Cafe

if you happened to think one of those 7 had the best food, please reply and post that. otherwise, just vote in the poll!

so basically, i'm curious what people think: ignoring all other aspects of the restaurants, i.e. not caring about the characters, the service, the decor, the price...
thinking just about the food quality/quantity/taste, which buffet breakfast had the best food?

If we were going to a morning buffet, the only choice for us is 1900 Park Fare. Best buffet and made to order omelets.

Boma is the best food at any breakfast buffet. Tons of variety. Lots of really fresh, tasty, and interesting choices as well as plenty of standard stuff. In fact, it's our second favorite breakfast in all of WDW - after the Kona Cafe.

If you want characters, we think the character meals with the best food are Ohana (which is family style, not a buffet) and Hollywood and Vine.

Cindy's isn't a buffet. It's pre-plated. They just bring you a plate of food. We didn't think the food was that great, with the exception of the fried french toast thing.

By the way, the Whispering Canyon isn't a buffet either. They have a regular menu which includes as an option an "all you care to eat" skillet. We love the food at the WCC cafe for breakfast, but I can't comment on what the skillet is like because we usually don't get that.

you forgot crystal palace! That would have gotten my vote, but I did vote for 1900!

I think that CP isn't on the list becasue it's closed for rehab right now. That's why Tony's is on the list. Tony's is only serving breakfast while CP is closed. They've moved Pooh and Pals over there for the time being.

I voted for Breakfastosaurus, but my favorite all-you-can-eat breakfast is the Mediterranean Breakfast at Spoodles! It's served family-style at your table, and it's wonderful!! :)

thanks for all the votes and replies so far!

btw, i thought that Cindy's was "all-you-care-to-eat" pre-plated? i.e. you can ask for more?

yup, i didn't list CP 'cause it's closed right now, that's why Tony's... (which btw, i remember reading that back when Tony's served breakfast regularly, a lot of people thought it was really good food, don't know if this is still the case)

hmm... i thought Spoodles ended their breakfast buffet last year. it's a la carte now, isn't it? i'd heard rave reviews of Spoodles brunch, and tried to go to last December, and they told me they didn't have it anymore.

anyway, keep the votes comin'!

Yes, you can order more of the stuff at Cindy's.

As for Spoodles, it is no longer a buffet - but they do have some "all you care to eat" options, I think.

My vote is for Boma and its create-an-omelet. Honorable mention goes to the Cape May Cafe character breakfast.

I thought the quality of food at 1900 Park Faire last Friday morning was among the best buffet breakfasts I've had anywhere. One cool thing was they would prepare eggs any way you like (they were working with fresh eggs, not premade mixture).

Crystal Palace is by far our favorite breakfast place!!! We eat there at least 2 or 3 times each visit. I am very bummed that it will not be open when we go :( :( :( :( :(

Spoodles... We love that place for breakfast...:bounce: :bounce:

I agree with Wildcard re: Cape May. It was the best BUFFET we've had so far....But I must admit the best breakfast I've had so far anywhere is at Grand Floridian Cafe and second is the health breakfast at Cindy's (and both were much more relaxing than a buffet!!).
