Hello!

I wanted to make a lunch reservation at the MK for the day we arrive. We land around 11:30 so im figuring between ME and checking in and getting to the park it will be around 2 pm or so. We are staying at the Beach Club Villas and want to head to the Magic Kingdom first to get the true We are in disney feeling...

Where would you suggest we go to lunch at the MK?????? I would love to try and make lunch at CRT but do you think that is taking a chance??? What if our flight is late and I prepaid for a lunch that we will never make??? any thoughts???? Also what time is the last lunch served at CRT???? If not CRT where would you suggest we eat ???? Thanks!!!!

Hi, I dont no much about CRT sory, so cant help u there but i realy love lunch @ Liberty tree tavern! The foods realy gud! so that could be an option for u :)

Personally, I avoid any pre-paid or cancellation penalty meals on our arrival day. As great as it sounds to do CRT first thing, I'd hate for a flight delay make us miss an ADR that is so hard to get and impossible to reschedule at the last minute. CRT only serves lunch until 3, which sounds like it would be cutting it close for you.

On our arrival day, we're going to hit the Plaza for a sitdown lunch and ice cream to kick off the afternoon at the Magic Kingdom. It is right there on Main Street, for that "We Are In Disney" feeling, but it isn't a special experience or a character meal that we'll be upset to miss if our plane is delayed and we just don't get there in time.

What I would do is not in MK..I would go to Beaches and Cream or Kona at the Poly instead

I would choose Liberty Tree Tavern for the family-style dining and characters. The food is good, and the characters are great.

instead of a lunch ressie, I'd personally probably make an early dinner ressie and just plan on grabbing a quick bite/snack when I get there if I am hungry. that way I can hit a few rides, etc.

There aren't characters at lunch at LTT, but that would be a good suggestion for an early dinner since the OP is coming it towards the very end of lunch hours.

what time does dinner officially start at LTT???

That's what I was thinking. I guess I kinda left out that part in my post.

The Plaza gets my vote! :thumbsup2

It's really good food that is reasonably priced...and I love their milkshakes!
You'll find us there on our first day...:goodvibes

Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch OR dinner! If its lunch you still get awesome food. I've never done dinner there but I hear good news about it and the characters there look really cute! :flower3:

I would estimate no less than three hours from time of landing at MCO, traveling via ME to BC, checking-in, and getting to MK from BC.

I think you have two good suggestions here:
1. Make an ADR for latest lunch slot -- probably about 3 PM at most locations
2. Have a snack at BC and an early dinner ADR at Crystal Palace (or other MK restaurant)

I vote for the Plaza Restaurant for your first day too. The sandwiches are very good (and large) and the chocolate shakes are out of this world!

At MK we had lunch at CRT and the next day at CP and both were great! I agree w/a PP that I'd wait on CRT just because if you don't show you'll get charged a penalty. We loved CP for lunch - the buffet had lots of choices and was delicious. Next time we would like to try LTT or the Plaza - those both sound good as well. Someone else also mentioned the monorail resorts for lunch - thats a good choice as well. Have a great time!

Do you mean Crystal Plaza?????

There isn't a restaurant by that name. There is Crystal Palace, which is the Pooh & friends character buffet, and there is The Plaza, which is a non-character restaurant that serves sandwiches and ice cream.

I think the Plaza is great for an arrival day, because there is no credit card guarantee for the ADR and no no-show charge, because it is an easier-than-average restaurant to get into as a walk-up if you miss your ADR time, and because it serves continuously through lunch and dinner without a change in menu or pricing. And there's also no can't-miss factor - if you're significantly delayed and miss lunch altogether, you didn't miss any characters or special dining experience.
