Which resorts have the most impressive

By number of people decorating, Fort Wilderness has the most. Some are very impressive. Wilderness Lodge has some spectacular displays. Depends on what you are looking for. All the resorts do something in line with their themes.

Our favorite at Christmas time is the WL :goodvibes......which is gorgeous any time of year, but especially during the holidays :santa:. The GF and BC are also beautifully decorated during the holidays ;).

We loved the Grand Floridian last season. The gigantic gingerbread house and the big beautiful tree. We went there for breakfast and were in awe. We stayed at th Poly and it was nice but not a whole lot of decor for the holidays.....

Thank you for the replies. It looks like I will keep my dining ressie at WL and maybe make one at GF as well.

The top two are Wilderness Lodge and Grand Floridian. Both win just for sheer scale.

We also enjoy Y&B and Boardwalk, but due to the size of their lobbies the display isn't as large.

Last year when we were at BC they were constructing the gingerbread carousel, now that was cool. We stood there for 45min-1hr watching them. It was really neat.

Whille all Disney decorations are impressive, I feel Wilderness Lodge really stands out. :cool1::banana:

The deluxe resorts definitely have the best decorations (with the exception of the Polynesian--I've always been disappointed when I've been there). It's definitely worth checking out the BW, BC, YC, GF, and Cont.

I tend to go to WDW every Dec...I keep saying that I'm not going, but I end up booking!! And I love to visit the various resorts each year as well...it never gets old for me.
This is how I do it. I head to MK, then walk over to the CR, check it out. Then onto the monorail and go to the GF...sorry, but the Polynesian has not gotten it done for me in several years now...then back to the MK. I take a boat over to the WL. Love it there.
For the Epcot resorts....I leave Epcot through the International Gateway...check out the BW, then the Dolphin, then head to the YC/BC.
The other resort that I like to check on is AKL...it's not traditional but quite lovely.
I've never seen SSR, maybe have to check it out this year.

Hope it helps.

I was there last Dec for the first time during the holiday season & completely forgot to check out the resorts :sad2:

I head off to WDW on Nov 14th - 21st, (couldn't get anything at AKL for Dec) hope all this is up for viewing. Thanks for sharing folks!

I think the Top 3 are.......
Grand Floridian
Wilderness Lodge
Beach Club

They are truly spectacular! :thumbsup2

When we were there last Dec, we did the monorail tour of the MK resorts. We didn't have enough time to check out the Boardwalk resorts.

Basically you need to check out as many deluxe resorts as possible. CSR is suppose to be nice but resort hopping with Disney transportation is not easy.

I'm curious what Waldorf Astoria in Bonnet Creek will have. I'm guessing they won't allow hordes of Disney guests storming the place with their Instamatic cameras. :lmao:
