We are bringing best friends of ours this year to DW, and they have requested a balcony for when the baby is sleeping, private talks under the moonlight, etc... I know that AKL has balconies, but which other resorts do? We have never stayed in a balcony room, so I'm trying to go through our Disney vacation photos to see, but this will take too long, and my friend wants the info this afternoon so we can book our room.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tiger

WL has private balcony's on the 6th floor. they are enclosed and you have to stand to see over the wall. Woodsview balcony's are also privte, but are open balcony's. They look out to the wooded area towrds MK. Some of these rooms can see the MK fiworks at night.

Here is a link to WL FAQ Photo page.

Just about every deluxe resort offers rooms with private balconies. The Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Yacht Club, Boardwalk Inn and Contemporary (Tower, not Garden) have particularly spacious balconies and/or patios. Not every room in the Beach Club has a balcony. The Wilderness Lodge has balconies but they're rather small compared to the Poly or Yacht Club's.

I know what you mean: I love having a balcony on which I can smoke, have a drink, enjoy my coffee, or chat with friends. I can't have a room without one, so if it means a lot to you, make sure to request it upon reservation. CRO won't guarantee it, but you're unlikely to get turned down!

Thanks - so just deluxe Disney resorts have balconies? We have never stayed at a deluxe, but have stayed at deluxe resorts in other vacation areas, so I was pretty certain that deluxe resorts had balconies. Any moderates with balconies?

Thanks, Tiger

All WL rooms have private balaconies. CR wing rooms have none. Make sure you ask as some resort have them in only some rooms. I believe some of the beach club ones are small standing ones only.

We really enjoyed our WL one. We had a nice view of the quiet pool & villas.

The Swan and Dolphin have balconies on some rooms. You would just have to reserve a room w/balcony and they have a variety of discounts so you can sometimes stay there at a moderate price.
