Which resorts have best counter service?

We are staying at Pop with QSDP. We will have time a couple of days to visit other resorts and eat lunch or dinner. Which ones have the best counter service and would be fun to check out? We have only stayed at ASMovies and POFQ before, we usually stay off site. Thanks!

Pop has a GREAT food court.

CSR is supposed to have a good counter service.

My favorite counter service is Columbia Harbour House and Cosmic Rays in Magic Kingdom.

The deluxes dont' have as many choices as mods or values for counter service.
Might be fun to visit though.

Look online at the menus and see which one sounds the best for your family.

My favorite is Captain Cookes at the Poly. The burgers/sandwichs are great, good sushi, and they have a Dole whip machine for the desserts. The Pepper Market at the CSR is another nice choice, it's kind of like a table service to me. The last one I really like is Mara at the AKL, their food is amazing. Enjoy!

Pop has a wonderful food court. I also love The Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

CSR has the absolute best, the Pepper Market. Largest variety, and best bang for your buck (or QS credit).

Thanks so much for the ideas! I think we will definitely try to hit CSR, as we would consider staying at a moderate again so it would be nice to check out.

DH and I have enjoyed the food court at POR.

Mara at AKL was great!!! You can have zebra domes for dessert and check the animals. In my opinion it is worth the journey all the way there.

I second vettegirl's suggestion of Captain Cook's. In addition to the items she mentioned, I would also recommend the Aloha pork sandwich, the flatbreads, and for breakfast you can get the DIS famous Tonga Toast.

We stayed at POR last summer and I thought the CS was great, but I was really impressed with the Comtempo Cafe in the Contemporary. We ate dinner there to use up the last of our CS credits right before we left and the food was fabulous, and you could see Chef Mickeys and the monorail from where we sat. Very Disney! And the desserts were great too!

Pepper Market at CSR! It was great we were there last week and loved it. We usually don't do any counter services and we ate there 3 times!

We really enjoyed Mara when we stayed at AKL, you could eat and check out all the animals from the public viewing spots. We also love Captain Cooks at the Poly, we like to take a break from MK and head over there for a relaxing meal with a nice Dole Whip for dessert. The CS options at the Boardwalk/YC/BC area are terrible but we are thinking of staying there again this year because it is so nice to be able to walk in to Epcot and DHS. This time though I'm getting all my CS from the WS in Epcot.

Another vote for The Pepper Market at CSR!!!!! It's FAB!!

I was going to suggest Pepper Market, but several others have already beat me to it! Very good bang for your buck. Do be aware that you may or may not be charged a 10% service charge, even on the QSDP. You get actual cloth napkins, real silverware, are seated like at a TS restaurant, and your drinks are filled/refilled for you.

I love Captain Cooks also, at Poly. It's nice to get counter service there, bring it outside, get one of the pineapple drinks from the bar (literally served in a pineapple), and watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the beach at night.
