Which Resort?

If money was not an issue which resort would you choose? The value resoorts are out. I have a friend who is having trouble deciding. They are well to do so they can basically stay at any resort (maybe I need to tag a long with them). My first pick would be AKV as I have a 3 year old who would love to see all the animals. If I didn't have a small child I would say one of the monorail hotels. What would you choose?

I would choose the Grand Floridian - I'm hoping to stay there in 2013 and I can't wait!

I think I would like to stay at any of the monorail resorts. I'm leaning more towards Contemporary :)

Ohhhh what a fun "problem" to have ;) If I could pick, I would pick a split stay between AKL and Poly. I love both of those atmospheres.
If I REALLY had to pick only one I would pick Poly.

I like your thinking. Yes, I know I feel so bad for them :lmao:that they can't decide what deluxe resort to stay at.

I have heard the Boardwalk is nice as well.

What a great spot to be in!!!!! :cool1: We just stayed at Beach Club and loved it. The atmosphere and decor were amazing! The rooms are comfortable and you can't be the location so near to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Bus transportation was very good. Let's not forget about the incredible pool with a sandy bottom and really cool water slide. GF and Poly are very nice also, but we prefered the overall 'feel' of Beach Club. Good luck with your decision and remember, you're going to Disney!! :woohoo:

Beach or Yacht Club, hands down best pool on property, good bus service, boat transport, walking distance to two parks (EPCOT, HS), movies on the beach, one of the best table service places (Yachtsman), I'm sure there's more.

If money was unlimited I would probably pick AKL in the best room with the best view!!!

is the cinderella suite able to be rented out?? i know that tours are given but, oh my goodness that would be amazing! but if i had to pick a resort, i'd love to try the boardwalk! get a room with a balcony over seeing the water!

Yeah I am sure that your 3 year old will love the animals at AKL, I have stayed there with a 2 1/2 year old, he loved them animals! I am not sure why you wouldnt want to stay on a monorail resort with a 3 year old, my little guy loved the monorail, still talks about it 6 months later. My next trip is next year, he will be 4, I am thinking CR because of the monorail and MK view for fireworks. Poly would be a 2st choice but it is pretty spendy. If your kid loves trains, he will love the monorail, plus the convience of a monorail resort when you have a toddler is a big plus.

we stayed at almost all the mods, deluxes and DVCs over the years, and the one that has been the constant favorite of our entire extended family is BWI/BWV. there is so much to do, or you can just relax and drink margaritas by the pool, go for a stroll, read in the many quiet nooks, etc.
thankfully, we bought BWV points, so we get to live our dream every vacation:cloud9: (btw, we also bought BCV, but only use those points at BWV or rent them out).
the YC and GF are also great resorts.

For me this would depend on what time of the year I was going.

If I was traveling during the Food and Wine Festival, I would take either Beach Club or Boardwalk. Beach Club would be my top choice due to the pool.

Easy walking distance to Epcot and just a boat ride to HS

If I was traveling during Christmas, I love the Wilderness lodge. The decorations are just amazing and the christmas tree is beautiful.

If I was traveling January thru March, I would pick a monorail resort. Since I am in the DVC I will go to Bay Lake Tower, but for those that are not I would choose Grand Floridian first and then Poly second.

If I was traveling during either the flower show or star wars weekends I would again be back at Beach Club.

The summer places would be back at Grand Floridian or Beach Club since I like being able to take breaks during the hotest times of the day.

I like to stay at all the resorts and experience them during different times of the year. LOVE THE DIS

GF magic kingdom view hands down.

Now if I were my kids I'd pick AKL savannah view. Probably a suite.

If money were absolutely no object, I would choose the Polynesian in a heartbeat, with a seven seas lagoon view! That is my dream resort to stay in sometime in my life. I visit there every single trip for a meal and to take in the atmosphere.. love it there!!

BLT w/GV/wMK (grand villa - 3 bedrooms - beautiful views)

BWV w/GV

if you just want a room - then what do they like?

florida - then GF or OKW

seacoast - then BW, BC or YC - bc is the closest resort to Epcot, BW is the closest resort to Studios (well really CBR or POP is closer - but you can't walk from them or ride a boat)

MK - then BLT or CR

horses - ny - then SSR

mountains - WL/VWL

africia - AKL/AKV - this several lovely GV's too

southern - PO

carribean - CRB

desert - CSR

hawaii - Polyn

AKL is my favorite by far!:goodvibes That being said - I haven't stayed at all the others - only Saratoga Springs!:rotfl: I have always wanted to try the Grand Floridian honestly - if I were choosing a monorail resort I would choose the GF! If I wanted an Epcot resort - I'd go for the BWI! I also have a fond place in my heart for the Wilderness Lodge.:)

I am a LOT of help aren't I??

Seriously I think you can't go wrong with the Animal Kingdom Lodge!
