Which resort would you choose to hang out and explore?

I'll be there for a few days in a couple weeks. It's a quick solo trip. One evening I want to just hang out in a deluxe resort. Eat in the lounge, have a drink, explore, and take it in. I've been to all of the deluxe resorts at one time or another. Which one is your favorite to just relax and eat at? I'm leaning towards WL or AKL but open to other suggestions. I haven't been to the new lounge in the GF (Beauty and the Beast themed I believe). The only one that I'm not really interested in is Boardwalk. Thanks!

WL or AKL would be my choices. If heavily invested in food then AKL but for more adult, closer to monorail hotels WL - plus it has Geyer Pointe!

The GF! Enchanted Rose is beautiful. And who can resist Basin White for fun soaps and bath bombs? Hint: Not me.

WL is an equally good choice for restful surroundings, a relaxing boat ride there from MK. Geyser Point is a terrific place to imbibe, munch and watch fireworks. Great food, too. Not so much on a chilly or rainy night, however, since it's open-air.

Either one would be a delight, IMO.

I really think WL and the geyser point lounge are great. Even though the menu is pretty small, the location is wonderful being right on the water. It's hard to recommend any of the monorail deluxes since I wouldn't classify any as really relaxing, all very pretty but I would choose WL over those 3. Trader Sam's is fun but has a ridiculous wait and imo not worth it for a solo trip. We've not had any drinks at the Beauty and the Beast lounge but have been in it, it's very pretty and if you happen to be there, you should stop in if you are a B&B fan. The lounges at Beach Club and Yacht Club are nice too but nothing so unique that I'd go out of my way to visit if I wasn't staying there. I do also like the Riviera. Bar Riva and the coffee shop/bakery and outdoor areas are nice but again, not as picturesque as WL.

Both AKV and BRV (Wilderness Lodge) were built by the same architect and are 100% gorgeous in theming, however AKV has animals too! I love looking at the exhibits around both lobbies. Plan to at the very least have a coffee and enjoy the patios both of which have rocking chairs. Enjoy!

Edit to note the patios I refer to are common spaces at the back of the massive lobbies.

You say "in a couple of weeks"... If the Christmas decorations are up my vote would be Wilderness Lodge and Boulder Ridge. Peace and tranquility plus a unique Christmas vibe!

This is close, but for me its another vote for WL. Beautiful hotel and several opportunities for a beverage and some nibbles.

AKL is a close second. Very close. If it were daytime rather than evening, I'd go there instead.

Ya if Christmas decorations are up WL 100%. I will say the new lounge at GF, The Enchanted Rose, has been very sparse for bar seating the 3 or 4 times I have stopped in since it opened. I like to sit at the actual bar at a lounge, personal preference.

'Fraid not, not this early for Christmas decs.

Those don't go up in the resorts until close to Thanksgiving. We've been disappointed more than once by not getting to see them at WL and GF since we typically leave the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

And the order is rotated from year-to-year, a CM once told me, so no telling when a given resort's will go up.
