Just curious on which resorts would get you to pay rack rate if that's all was available?

It would be the Beach Club, but then I would only get to stay one night.

None at WDW.

I will pay rack at the Mirror Lake Inn in Lake Placid, the Rimrock in Banff and the Waters Edge in CT off the top of my head.

Coronado Springs! I've been dying to stay there since it opened. Luckily I got a code rate for this August, but even if the code wasn't available, I would pay full price for it.

Before I found the DIS boards I paid Rack Rate at the Grand Floridian, Lagoon View of MK, during Peak Season in 1999

Would I ever do it again??
HECK NO!!

The Boardwalk Inn had AAA discount in 2000 , paid rack last Oct.Have an AP rate for this Sept. DH loves the place and will stay only there and since he pays !!!!

For a whole trip, ASMO!
I would be willing to pay rack rate for a whole trip at the Polynesian, but realistically, I couldnt afford it. I was however going to pay rack rate for 1 night there which would have been 374.??. Then I joined DC and got a rate of 334.??. Finally the codes came out on Monday and Im getting it for 260.60. Now I am much much happier with the new rate, but I love the Poly so much that I would have paid rack rate.

Before discounts, I paid rack rates for both stays at DXL. I sure do love those discounts!

I would pay rack rates for the Contemporary, PO-R, PO-FQ, and the Beach Club... I just couldn't stay as long, or go as often.

We just got back from the Beach Club and paid rack rate (well, okay we did get a AAA discount at the last minute which basically paid the tax). However, we stayed there only 3 nights of our 6 night stay. The other 3 were at the HIFS to save money. Was it worth it? Yes, but I would rather have had a discount. I would also pay rack rate the the GF if I HAD to, but that's probably all.

AKL, WL, POFQ, POR AKL would be hard to manage at rack....how much are first born going for these days?

Wait! Maybe we shouldn't answer this question. What if Disney is listening!

With kiddos and no discounts to be had I would have to go with the Polynesian. Without kiddos <yippee> definately an Epcot resort either YC/BC or Boardwalk. I would even stay a few less nights to be able to afford a depending on the situation. To me 5 nights at Poly or BW are as good or better than 10 at the All Stars. I also don't thing the moderates are any bargain, its either the All Stars or a Deluxe for me!! Of course YMMV...

I would have to say none. There always seems to be at least a AAA discount avaiable. Unless of course you are traveling over a holiday and then rack rate is your only choice. That is why we would not travel to WDW during the holiday or peak seasons.

I love the deluxes, but their rack rates are just too high for me-- out of my budget. I would not pay rack rates for the All stars because I consider it overpriced. The moderates are overpriced, too, but if I had to pay rack rate that's the route I'd go-- probably Riverside.

But if I can get a Deluxe for $200 or less, I think it is worth it.

IF I could afford it, I would pay rack rate at the Contemporary, in the tower. :)

I don't pay rack rate anywhere!

If you're savy enough, you'll find that discounts are everywhere, you just have to know where to look for them!

I would not pay rack rate at any Disney resort. I agree with Blondie, I don't pay rack rate anywhere.

I do not pay rack rate for any hotel, never have, never will.
