I've been reading that many people don't like the QS options at HS, so I was considering maybe taking a bus from HS to a resort for a QS lunch, plus it's fun to check out other resorts. Any suggestions where would be a fun resort to go... both for the ambiance and food quality? We have 2 DS (12 & 11) and 2 DD (7 & 4) Thanks!

Not quick service, but Beaches and Cream since its nearby. It is not the best use of time to trudge to another resort for QS. And the resorts that are most easily accessible from DHS are not known for their QS either.

That said.

The Pepper Market
Landscape of Flavors
The Mara

we love the black forest ham sandwich at Starring Rolls (in front of brown derby at DHS) we have easily split a huge sandwich between the 2 of us . andyou will LOVE !!! the butterfinger cupcake!! we got one for the dessert and used a snack credit for the other. beaware that they close about 4 or 5 pm

fairfax faire near Beauty and the beast has chi9cken and ribs.. and rosie's nearby had burgers, hot dogs, etc. all with picninc type tables between

Get the boat to the Boardwalk or Yacht and Beach Club, both have quick service options (mainly sandwiches and flatbreads). Or get the bus to Port Orleans Riverside or Pop Century/Art of Animation, they have large foodcourts with lots of options popcorn::

Love the food court at the Poly!! Also the Pepper Market at Coronado Springs is great.

Personally, I would NEVER leave DHS for QS…that's such a waste of time. We left DHS last April for a TS at EPCOT and easily wasted 2-3 hours traveling. I wouldn't even do that again.

I actually really like Starring Rolls for lunch, as they have really good sandwiches. But there are many other options around the park if you don't like sandwiches. I'd say at least look around before you give up a couple hours at the park just for QS.

Hmmm, best/favorite QS eateries?
In our opinion . . .

Parks:
. . . EP:...Sunshine Seasons (FW)
. . . EP:...Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe Entrée Menu (WS)
. . . MK:...Columbia Harbour House
. . . AK:...Flame Tree (good ribs)
. . . HS:...Backlot Epress
. . . BB:...Lottawatta Lodge
. . . TL:...Typhoon Tilly's
. . . DS:...Wolfgang Puck Express

Resorts:
. . . DEL:...Capt Cook's at Poly
. . . MOD:..Sassagoula Flatworks at POFQ
. . . VAL:....Landscapes of Flavor at AoA
. . . DVC:...Artist Pallette at SSR

Polynesian's captain cooks is great and it is just a boat or monorail ride away from MK.

Also Art of Animations Landscape of Flavors is good.

I wouldn't leave a park for a QS meal personally, but if I absolutely had to I would jump on the boat from HS to the boardwalk area (boardwalk bakery, pizza window, also foot long hot dog kiosk) or Swan and Dolphin (Picabo), then jump back on the boat to HS.

Presuming you have the luxury of time, I'd definitely head to AKL and check out Mara. First it has great good, but second your family will not be disappointed with the beauty and animals that is AKL
