:confused3 I am about to book ressies this week at either the Swan & Dolphin under the teachers rate, or at POR. The question is which resort? We have stayed at POR 5 times but love, love, love the resort. On the other hand we have never even been to the Swan or Dolphin, the only info that I have is what I have read on these boards, and of course I have seen them both from the outside. I think there is the allure of the boardwalk atmosphere here that makes this decision so hard for me. We originally booked at BC for 6 days but decided that we would rather stay for 10 days at a lesser rate, since we hardly spend any time in the room. I have always wanted to stay at the BC, but the time that we are in the room makes it seem unrealistic to justify spending an extra $1100 and only get to spend 6 nights vs 10 nights. Did I make a mistake? If you had to choose, would you stay at POR, S&D, for 10 days, or BC for 6? Please help.

I would stay at the Swan. Great location and you can usually get good rates here on the DIS for that. They have queen beds and you can walk to the Boardwalk, epcot, and mgm.

I haven't stayed at POR but have been to the other mods and Swan. I would definitely go with the Swan or Dolphin!!!!! Location plus service and amenities and the Fabulous pool at the S/D ,make it an easy choice in my mind.

I've never stayed at POR, but if the price of the Swan with the teacher's discount is comparable to the rate at POR, then there's no doubt that I'd stay at the Swan. I am spoiled by its close proximity to Epcot as well as to MGM. The Heavenly beds at the Swan are wonderful! And though I never swim at WDW hotels, most people rave about the Swan/Dolphin's Grotto pool. I'd also much rather have 10 days at the Swan than 6 days at the Beach Club.

I've stayed at the Dolphin and POR and loved them both! I guess it would depend on what's more important to you. You can't beat the closeness to Epcot and MGM to the Dolphin but you also can't get certain perks that you could at POR. My personal choice would be POR because I enjoy the DDP [which you are not eligible for at the Dolphin], kinda makes my vacation seem all inclusive!
