Which Resort pool for kids?

They are much younger 5 and 2

Then the Poly, for sure! I've stayed at both and I agree with a few other posters--the Beach Club pool is best for when your kids are a bit older. It is spread out with no way to see all of the pool area from one spot. Which means you need to keep your kids contained or else be in the pool with them at all times. Plus in order to get to the large slide you have to walk away from the pool area, cross a public sidewalk, and then climb on.

Those are both sadly out of my price range. But I have seen the pool at BC And it’s tough to beat. However the POLY is so Disney. Tough choice. I visit the poly often.

I didn’t read all the replies yet, but in my opinion while the Beach Club has hands down the best pool complex on the property - it is not great for smaller kids (under 6 or even 7-8) unless you plan to be in the water with them the entire time. We went when DS was 7, and because it’s such a big pool, we never had clear view of where he was. The pool has a lot of hidden areas, twisty lazy river, entrance to the slide far from the actual pool deck... This pool is amazing, but huge. I felt uneasy if DS was in the pool by himself.
It’s much easier to supervise kids right in front of you in the Poly pool.
To me then, it would depend on how old the kids are.

Poly. Our kids were almost 5 and 1 1/2
last year when we stayed at the Poly. The 5 year old loved the kids area and spent hours playing on it.
The sand area is nice at SAB but I find it a bit overwhelming for young kids. My 5 year old wouldn’t have wanted to stay at the sand area with the younger one.

What is the average temp for the time of year you are going and will your kids swim if is that temp?
This is also a good point, I would not stay at the Beach Club say November to February if using the pool was high on my list of priorities. I would hate seeing that pool and not wanting to go in because it’s too cold lol. And I’m from Canada! I usually find it too cool to swim in Florida in the winter. So does my kid. In the summer though? Beach club is the best for us now that DS is 10...
However OP said October... which should be fine especially first half of the month.

i Have stayed at both as well.

Given the ages of your kids I would chose the Poly over the BC. I would not stay at the BC or do a water park until all my kids could swim. The BC pool is the best pool but not for kids that little, even the kiddie area would scare me there as it’s near the deep lazy river.

The kids area at the Poly looks great. My kids out aged it by a few years.

Have to agree, BC has a great pool but with small kids it's a bit of a nightmare. Its extremely spread out and not easy to navigate. Plus some areas are very deep. Poly is a much better option.

For the ages of your kids, I vote Poly! Or consider AKL Kidani. My DS was underwhelmed with Kidani’s pool, but he was older- it’s perfect for younger kids! Stormalong is awesome, but it’s huge.

Completely agree that the Poly would be my choice. I love BC but the pool is so large it’s to much to keep up with. It’s so large and hard to keep track of your kids even if they are older.

Chiming in for Poly -- we have been to both and Poly is a nicer (and less stressful) experience for little kids. It is also nice to have the fireworks view in the evening if your kids tucker out and have to leave the parks early. Also, I think that sand bar at BCC is wayyy overrated. It is much coarser/grittie sand than a beach and just doesn't feel nice to sit/stand on and play with like a regular beach. And as a mom whose toddler flung some of that stuff in my face I can tell you it is torture if it gets in your eyes.
